he'll do with the right runes and good enough monster to go with him, but there's better

ragnarok can run all kinds. I've used every skill except the defaults in my time with him. Depends how you want to run him.

My team uses mirak as the control and she has 2 deny gimmicks (random control + total blind), single PER and aoe PER on her own, so I'm more on the support side for rag. 3TS for runes.

Mother nature's wisdom and arachangel's blessing are for support, blacksmith's masterpiece can also be used in place of one.

Death door compensates for not having a dedicated attacker (I use supercharged amulet to counter the high stamina cost)

Grandmaster's wisdom is my control skill since mirak has total blind but no CDA. Demon's flames is better in some situations, such as fighting hookuai.

Barbarian's warcry is ok for attack, but I prefer rag for defence since you want his trait to be unpredictable on defence, and not attack. The two torture effect skill follows the same concept. The PER skill just isn't needed in my comp, but it can work well.

3. People think sammy is just a TT monster (no one appreciates versatility, and he can be everything but a denier (most versatile in the game by far))
4. There's about 5 f2ps who're always underdogs in wars and are fighting in L2/3 (all of which are on our team), so because most people aren't massive underdogs for their league they'll never realize how samael can make you beat much stronger opponents (thus resulting in people never learning how to use him properly)

Best ones are metal/light sammy (metal being an OP support who can serve as a great attacker, light being an OP attacker who can also be a borderline OP supporr), ruby, most versatile denier by far (has all forms of denying in her arsenal), so the lack of PER isn't very significant, and after them as @mossy sorrel said, magic llum
For elites wyrmlad is great, but besides him and maybe dunn the others aren't so amazing, but they can be useful in certain situations

But as I said elites can be very useful in certain situations, and he's one of them
