Based on the numbers posted in the Espanol channel, it looks as though it is going to be cheaper to do the hidden path then do Wildbirds main path.
That is if the hidden path is going to cost around 4,500 coins like in previous hidden paths.

With my calculations for R1 Wildbird, it will be cheaper to go the hidden path route then to do the actual path itself. This is based on the hidden path costing 5,000 maze coins.
Actual Path:
R1 with full 30% discount 12,615 (see posted chart)
Hidden Path (egg) + Actual Path (120 Cells):
Hidden path estimated at 5K coins. With just a 10% discount it will cost 4,500 coins. Taking Wildbirds path for 120 cells is 10,675 (9,055 [100 cells] + 1,620 [20 cells]). At 30% this comes out to approximately 7,473 coins. Totaling of 11,973 coins.
Savings of 642 coins. If you catch the hidden path at 20% discount, you will save even more.
If you see an error in my math, let me know and I will either fix it or trash it. 🙂

@twin flicker the hatch coins are directly related to what you are breeding and are generated when a breed has been transferred to hatchery. After that you can hatch anything at anytime to claim the coins. The amount generated depends on the length of breed completed, subject to pool available.
And remember to reload before doing a collection, pools available in game are only updated on loading.

Here is what I do. Breed a Thunder Eagle to start. After 4 hours, collect Thunder Eagle, do a short breed, hatch an egg, then restart your Thunder Eagle.

Blue lizard generates 1 coin, larger food generates more. There is a delay between generating and collecting.

No need to do short breed, start thunder eagle, next 4hrs hatch for a space, transfer and start new breed. The first cycle, you miss the hatch coins, but they are actually there, and can be collected if you have an extra hatchery space
Only need to do the extra hatch if you want coins immediately
I've done the breed firesaur 50 times in the past, before I worked out exactly the mechanism.

Autoclicker works great with breeding 50 firesaurs. Just saying.

It's useful if you don't have a breed waiting when a collection due, else you have to speed up a longer breed.
Tip; always have a thunder eagle waiting to be transferred at the start of a maze, earns you those first hatch coins.

I feel like u won’t be able to get the egg so I’ll recommend u to do 4 to 5 Collections for the next 4 days so when the 30% discount comes around u will have enough to get him
Also in couple of days u will be able to get maze coins from monster wood approximately 800 so make sure u watch all of the videos

@velvet viper it seems there is way around it. I crafted my wildbird from cells and then got an egg as well.
You are still allowed to put your second egg on hatchery but can't hatch it...so when you put the second egg on hatchery, your first hatched wildbird can be extracted which will allow your second egg on hatchery to hatch.
This worked for me, would recommend you to try it.

I haven't really counted how many collections I do on average, main thing is, just be as active as you can and do many collections. A very important part also is pvp, make sure to have a really easy pvp defense team, so you win every pvp battle for a chance of maze coins, I've probably gotten around 750-1000 maze coins from pvp spins alone. Always try to do pvp attacks only after you've been attacked, and you have the shield, so your trophies, and the difficulty of battles, doesn't go up. @bold zenith
I'm currently 90/90 pvp attacks won, most of which are during the maze, resulting in a big portion of the maze coins I've gained over all.

Yea, that's why I recommend the weak defense team, and attacking only after been attacked, so you don't raise the difficulty of the battles at all, and actually slowly lose more trophies than gain over time, making it progressively easier. And if you want to get to L4 by the end of the season, just make a quick and efficient push, mostly attacking just multiple times in a row, before being attacked yourself and losing trophies. Also, try to save some easy revenge battles from having the easy defense, towards the end of the season, so you get some easy pvp victories, no matter your rank.

It's actually even better without a actual denier, unless you go 3x team speed with the denier. I prefer Madam + Attacker with AoE deny and any turn transfer team speed holder to give the attacker even more turns, like Cloud.
