If you have enough to get the monster you should move, if not you should wait.
SP made it more difficult for f2p players to get ranked top monsters in the maze. In the long mazes you could focus on one of the top monsters and get it rank 3/4 with just some re-spins that you also got with free gems.

But this new system is really idiotic and brutal.
