However, shouldn't that single attack be redirected at Clipeum who has the Taunt Trait.

I've personally found that if you move your egg to the hatchery first, hatch the egg that's waiting, then rebreed thunder eagles, you get both pools of 50

Well that's annoying because my hatchery is full from the breeding event

So I need to clear the thunder eagle from the hatchery before having space to move in the bred eagle

I only do the breeding event one at a time. I leave two spaces open cause I can't afford the fourth hatchery upgrade

move the thunder eagle from breeding mountain to hatchery first. Then sell the thunder eagle that's already in the hatchery. This gets you the hatching coins. Then simply rebreed thunder eagles to get breeding coins

If only 1 space, hatch your thunder eagle, transfer, start new breed. You won't get the hatch coins immediately, but you will get them next time you hatch. At any point you have an extra space and can hatch a 2nd time after doing a transfer you will get the 50 coins missing.

Hatch coins are generated by transferring the breed, and you will not lose them even if you can't hatch an egg immediately
