Just collect every 8hrs minimum, only 1 node, so decide at the end if cost is worth it. Max items in 24hrs of event is 23 gold/15 food/3 hatch and breed.

This mini progressive will cost 103 gems with perfect collection. Quite a bit more expensive compared to other recent mini progressives like Undertaker which got down to 69 gems

First of all, it looks like you’re missing a breed. Should get on that before that timer reaches 8h.

Hmm ... subjective question. In my personal opinion, you should save your gems. Mythic progressive monsters have been going for 147 gems and any of them are way faster and stronger than volthar, and will obliterate him before he gets a turn in with his better skill set.

With that said, if you have no denier at all and your monsters are at a low level, then maybe it’s worth it to get Volthar so that he can help you get through gem dungeons.

@proud tangle moderators are likely to ask us to move this conversation to #ml-general-discussion but that chat has got a little too much activity so I’ll answer here.

2nd hatchery needs to be top priority. You want to be able to hatch mythic / legendary eggs on one slot while participating in mazes / progressives with another slot. Then, 2nd tree because you can do long breeds in one tree (breeding events, breeding better monsters in really early game) and mazes / progressives in the other.

3rd hatchery allows you to hatch mythic eggs, do long breeds, mazes / progressives at the same time. It is at this point when you can start spending gems on monsters. 4th hatchery is expensive and the sale for it is rare. If you can wait for the sale, be patient. If not you won’t be making a mistake getting it early.

Don’t worry about missing mythic right now. There are more coming constantly and none of these are game breaking right now.

hello ☀️, this key event is really too short, really expensive and ridiculous. we need an additional island or additional locations per habitat not 4 small locations in the vault. it's still sad to have to sacrifice monsters, even legendaries in order to be able to cram the new mythical monsters there. the majority of players in the FB groups are extremely disappointed.😔

I agree, unless they do something about the space soon, that doesn’t cost a ton of money or gems I’m also thinking about calling it quits. We shouldn’t have to sell of monsters we worked hard to get and or rank up. The core component of this game is collecting monsters, there should be no limit on space.

The gem cost of Vault slots are discounted by 30% during the vault happy hour deal. There was this one time they were discounted 40% but I think that only happened once. It’s definitely best to buy with gems as high as you can stand before using your keys

Look at Armour Gaming's videos. If not, then just remember, 3rd day of the maze is a 30% Discount for one hour since that start of the 3rd day. Once you run yourself out on maze coins on the main path, you'll get an offer that'll always be 20 Gems more than your current Gem total. That's when you log into facebook, subscribe to the Newsletter and Get the 5 Gems from the Legends Pass to buy the maze coins. Next, wait for the discount and move Charmless to the end of his path, move Mudflow until you get a Red and Blue Key, Move the Epic until you get a red and Blue Key, move Vodanoy until you get a red key, then move Marquis along to the end of his path

I don't have an alt, but I've considered one for a couple of benefits:

if you don't have a full team for a marathon, having alts could let you have additional resources (including gems) and not be stalled if you have enough alts
when cell trading was possible, you could just get 35 cells from a progressive and trade them to your main

Last tales event, 100 cells could be got for 147, with time to spare. Don't delay on a collection and this drops a bit lower.

@lavish pagoda it's usually cheaper via the progressive, previous ones, r3 would have been around 2.5k and r4 4k; 4500 gems would do 6 raids, 2700 amber which is just over r3. Raid a lot less effort, but more expensive.

@gusty cloud I would say bad idea. For instance, if you follow the how-to-gem guide for magic stones progressive from the start, you could potentially get 150 stones for 72 gems. Given that as a benchmark, using 68 gems for a single node sounds like a bad idea.

Since magic stones come around regularly, if I were you I would treat this progressive as a way of practicing your collection technique for the next progressive.

Just wanted to let you know that for the next progressive, I suggest following a “how to spend gems” guide that shows optimal strategy for reaching the end of your target node.

For example, for this magic stones progressive, you could have gotten 150 stones for 72 gems with great effort and 89 gems with some buffer

@azure thorn Isn't it time after? So a day and 8 after the 16 hours, not just a day and 8 since the progressive island has begun. I've done all my collections and down to 272 gems to skip the 30 cells. Basically I'm saying that i will be able to skip it after 2 more collections to get it for 40 or so gems. (Which is what you're advised to do)

Does this help? I've added the total number of gold / food / breed / hatch you should have at the time of skipping the node.
Basically, when it says "1 days 8 hours" it means to spend that much time at the particulcar node. It's not referring to the in-game progressive clock, and it's not talking about the total time from the beginning of the progressive

50 cells(r0)
On 20 cells : use 32 gems at 0 days 16 hours - 18g/12f/3h
On 30 cells : use 45 gems at 1 days 8 hours - 30g/20f/5b
On 50 cells(r0) : use 70 gems at 1 days 16 hours - 36g/24f/6h
Total gem cost: 147 gems.

I post two versions of the guides. The total time of the progressive is 3d23h and I post one that assume that you can only collect for 3d16h and one that asssumes that you can collect for 3d22h

Depending on your timezone / sleeping schedule, one of the two should work for you. If it doesn't, I also post how each node's gem cost reduces with each item collected so that you can make minor adjustments to your needs
