This is why I don't like progressives, you can't get the monster without gem spending, and you still have to be active to reduce that cost. Mazes reward you purely for activity, which I think is fairer.
The cap on items for micro progressives are 23 gold, 15 food, 3 battles, 3 breeds and 3 hatches. Getting all of that provides the cheapest possible cost, since anything it takes 24 hours exact to get another breed, hatch, food and gold piece. You don't get the time for those. Gem cost is typically around 60 at the best I think?

Download a C++ compiler(if you're on linux then just download GCC, if you're on windows download mingw which contains GCC)
Then if you're on windows you need to put wherever you installed mingw into the PATH system variable
Then put the program in a file somewhere and then in the terminal in the same folder as the file do "g++ filename"
Make sure that you have the input in progressiveInput.txt
The reason it doesn't work on ideone is because the program works with files

Chest 1, 2, 15 cells, 20 cells, 65 cells. 5 node in 3d.
How to balance collect and skip is main question.
Ex: on chest 1 skip after 0 collect. On chest 2 skip after 0 collect. On 15 cells skip after 1 collect. On 20 cells skip after 2 collect. On 65 cells
skip after 6 collect. Not include the first one.
