Guys, I need help. We have 22 members in our team. After a few successful wars we moved to Legendary IV league where matchmaking is automatic. However in order to participate in team wars now we need 25 members, which we can't get. I can't opt out of anything. I can't start a war. It doesn't allow me to do anything! Now we're just sitting and waiting for something. Everyone on the team is pissed of course. Is the team war system broken? What can I do so that we can start fighting again? Thanks!

Oh and I forgot to mention that our team is removed from the ranking due to inactivity, but it isn't our fault. I don't know what to do.

Team wars appeared 5 times
4 of those times alongside pumpseed (3 underworld 1 fire)
24 wars this season, minus 4 for 'special rules'. 20 wars and ¼ of them included Team wars. The weakest most irrelevant book around. We really need them to be updated, new viable monsters released or scrap team wars as a restriction altogether. You could add the legends pass monsters to the team war books, easy solution.
Once upon a time, general's were the go to monsters, now they are laughed at.
Maybe also remove all forsaken from exclusive book too, and add quest + tale monsters. There is only one of each of those released each month, which makes them more exclusive than forsaken which get 3 per month

The last couple matches of the season were mismatched for my team

The fact is the system hasn't fixed luck being key to where you rank. We still need a weighted system on wins to truely reflect where placed. It shouldn't come down to luck of who you match on last war. There is still a huge swing each and every war when win or lose throughout the season. It never works itself fully out just gets a little smaller as season goes but still one loss can drop you leagues even last war.

The standard of matches on the whole has been better, the cap of 10 teams (when it works) is nifty. So at least we get good fights

And luke I only partly agree I do think rogue has better match ups. But I think rogue too was a bunch of terrible matchups. It looks like SP is still compressing teams at the end of season. Prepare yourself for angst and confusion and terrible matchups

Last season my team was as high as 36 and as low as 1200

The compression of points at the end of season makes that much worse

But that only compounds the core problem which is that system doesn’t seem to be designed to correctly order teams by strength. 150 points, no matter whether you fought a close fight or got destroyed.

My team pops up and gets crushed. Falls and crushes opponents. The rare close fight feel more like a fluke than intentional

That's normal. Wars matchmake first with how many members you have currently and around the team power level but if a good match isn't around, they go down by members 1 by 1. Which means the best match at the time was a team of 29 members.

I think that with 25 vs 28 or whatever, nobody needs to sits out. You add 5 x 3 coins to one team and 5 attacks to the other to balance it out. This can either be done automatically, ie. in above example Island 1-15 will have 18 coins and 6 attacks or leads could allocate the extra coins/attacks strategically themselves...

How many days does the TEAM RAGE WARS last? We got one on Friday. We were Gold I & they were Champion I. Bless their hearts! Opponent extremely inactive & we won 366 to 45 with 19 players! The win put us into Champion III. Just need to know how to plan!

That’s why I think they should be left until off season. Where the wars don’t matter as much. It doesn’t dictate where your final place in the season rankings is going to be. And you can choose to opt out

Rebooting a team is only useful for War matchmaking (to take advantage of poor algorithm to get far weaker opponents). Change my mind. 🙂

Throphies Are totally Off.
Beating a lower ranked team gives you the same amount (or more) throphies than beating a closer ranked team.
Also some teams just dont seem to be able to match each other over a period of many weeks. I understand how the system works, but 2 top teams should meet each other at least once per season.

Vali is right, there needs to be some way to guarantee these matches. Otherwise the chance of movement in the table is greatly reduced
