It was mentioned when the end of season was first annouced that teams above 5500 wouldn't be reset to 5500. To condense the ladder but still retain a ladder of sorts, and therefore some quality in the matchmaking. A 5500 free-for-all would be more messy.

I'm personally working on making inactive teams disappear from rankings, but we need to create a system with rules, not fingerpicking teams, so we are on it.

I do think that a system of rules should be created/enforced etc to prevent teams dropping. But it seems lately there’s the stick and no carrot...
We punish teams/players for dropping or going to race teams; rather than rewarding those that stay.

There are sometimes that you can improve the carrot, and others that you have to increase the stick.
We are working on improving the carrot, but to be honest, if a team wants they will again drop no matter the carrot.
Having inactive teams on ranking is not good for anyone, they get a spot of "Legendary" that could be taken by other team and so on, so I won't consider this a punishment for inactive teams but a carrot for active teams. The more active teams we have the better for everyone.

Even playing the game at 1x (normal speed) doesn't seem to fix the problem. My game keeps crashing on enemy fights because of a bug related to "recently possessed" that closes the game when it's the enemy's turn. This has been going on for about 2 or 3 months now and literally no one anywhere has talked about this yet? Please, this is a bit annoying and I'm tired of losing easy fights because of this glitch.
Literally every single war I've been in for the past 3 months has at least one battle where I crash because of this bug.
Has this bug been addressed or is being worked on or something? I've been trying to get a response but people seem to ignore me for some reason. I'm just confused and concerned, that is all.

This war makes no sense. If you take the fact that most people sleep eight hours out of 24 that drops it down to 16 hours to do 10 attacks with a book that has mostly new monsters and only a total of 15 legendary‘s. There simply isn’t enough cooldown time to do 10 attacks in that timeframe, and you can’t double up much because there aren’t enough good monsters to do that.
For those of us who didn’t get many of those back end maze monsters and primarily have the weaker of those legendary‘s we don’t have a chance in this war.
At least restrict it to five attacks with doubled up rules.

Well our war started while I was asleep,then a rush to work and I’m already 8 hours in without an attack.
No way I get in 10 quality attacks with two monsters needed from a very thin book. Thin in terms of available strong monsters. I only have 7 of them, including a 100 level quin and 100 lvl rabooka.
So I have 5 decently strong enough monsters to choose from to fill two slots and 9 attacks with 12 hours left. Not happening for me.

This is where the free rune movement really helped, my team was able to get most of the attacks in because we could at least team speed some of our level 100 monsters in the temporary book, and push the legendary slot. Would never normally do that as it's not a sustainable long term option.

Yes it ended at 6 am but if you started War before then, it is through the Finish! The Solomonath Book disappeared temporarily this morning but came back! We are against a Team with Level 100s on Bases 1-18 out of 20! The Enemy Team has not made a single attack! I just don’t understand why they even go into Matchmaking! Out of there last 10 Wars, they have a high score of 19! Looks like most of the accounts were abandoned a while back! Only 2 have Relics & the majority don’t even have Runes!

That's not how a good lead would act. If you have 1 decent team and you spend gems then sure, you do you. Not everyone has the gems to spend on speeding up. And not everyone has decent teams to spend gems on. Low MO plsyers are low MP because theyre trying their best. I agree, some low MP players di not do attacks and so get all cocky, but the same doesnt apply to all. If I get 3 coins from 5 attacks in a war because I missed Ihtianders freeze on a patient cyber 3 times and they destroy me each time, does that mean I'm bad at it? again its much easier to check if players use bad teams on attack you just check the log and find the teams they used, to check if a player steels easy bases from others players is much harder to check
the player that loses because he takes on maybe a slightly to strong base and loses because he knows their teammate can win that other base and get the coins is my kind of player because he thinks of their teammate and not of an easy win

Exactly, players who don't bottomfeed (attack low bases for easy coins) are the ones you should be looking for! Our whole team is built of players like that, which is one of the reasons why we've beaten many stronger teams before and why we are capable of beating stronger teams (in bug-free wars)

You might disagree with my rationale but all I want is a simple tool in stats that would allow me to apply my own criteria. I simply wanna see coint contribution. @proper plover it's called the events tab in wars... shows each individual attack and defense, who lived and whether coins were won or lost. For me it's not a regular basis but for some it is. And they might be the ones who try instead of punching below their weight.

We're aware of the issues and are working to identify the problem. However, rewards for this Season are only given at the end of the Off-Season (and start of the next Season), so you will still get the rewards. The fact that the pop-up is being triggered is only a visual bug.

@vale tide that's what happens when you are #1 we dealt with it literally all last season as soon as you get that huge trophy gap ur screwed. Why you think I complain here. Seriously after the merger we watched you guys climb and climb as #2 till the point that you almost passed us in trophies without even warring us. While we were sitting up there waiting for 24-36 hours (and while a couple other top 5 teams sat waiting for us to match) everyone else is warring and gaining trophies/medals/coins...#1 is literally a punishment.
This is a big problem and is the reason why we not coming back until it's fixed. If the teams we won't mention here would roll you would have matched much quicker.
You don't need to match top 100...even just top 10-15 is fine but won't happen when they don't roll.
@unreal gulch I also agree with you ...the start of the season is super unfair for many teams as the trophy reset brings too many strong teams down too far and close to much weaker teams. This is also another part of the system that needs adjusting.

Shocking eyes and 3 coins byebye. I go to my other act and do the same thing, this time one little effect lands, a frezze on marquiz. Shocking eyes but still luckily managed a 3 coin. SP rebalanced the value of war medals in the shop and I do not believe that the relic category chests were a mistake as when they were introduced, they were made 800 medals more expensive than the previously available single gold relic chest. It was great value indeed and SP obviously realised that they were too generous and had to do something about it. So someone came up with this male bovine crap excuse to revert those category chests back to single gold chests but obviously forgetting that the original chests were 800 medals cheaper. So here we are now back to were we were before the 'rebalancing', except that we pay nearly double for the chests now!!!

It was an honest mistake. There is no reason to lie about this, we never did and we never will.
Regarding the pricing. Yes, the price is not that different (definitely not double!), however, you have MUCH HIGHER chance of getting the relic you want because its a CATEGORY chest, therefore the price is somewhat cheaper based on what you expect from the chest.
If you read the announcement /Explanation, you might have noticed that we are working on some improvements on obtaining more relics that should come very soon.

I'm sorry @prisma swallow you announced that you are are rebalancing the team war shop to give medals better value because of player feedback. You did that with the category chests. You split the diamond chests into categories, kept the medal cost the same and reduced the war coin cost and gave the us the category chests for 1.8k medals, ie. increased cost to the previous single gold chest. I honestly cannot see how your original intent would have been to nearly double the price of the gold relic chest yet keep the diamond chest the same. It essentially achieves the opposite of the original intent of giving medals better value. Whoever is selling you this story in your office isn't up front with you - no bloody way! A better move would have been to raise the cost of the category chests to 2.5k medals maybe....

@wet forge The chest on that picture was a War Gold Relic Chest, meaning that you could get one Gold Relic out of the entire pool of Gold Relics in the game, so the chances of getting the one you wanted were extremely low. When we decided to change the Team Shop content, we introduced single-category Gold Relic chests, that allowed you to get one Gold Relic of a specific category (with the added bonus of having a significant chance of pulling a Diamond Relic). The massive reduction in randomness was accompanied by a small tweak in pricing (2000WCs -> 1000WCs and 1000WMs -> 1800WMs). At the time of the changes, we made the mistake of introducing an incorrect set of Chests (we added a Chest that gave you Gold Relics and a bunch of Bronze and Silver ones as well) instead of the correct set (the one that was uploaded yesterday). We understand the frustration - especially because we failed to communicate in advance - but this change was necessary to correct the mistake we made about a month ago, as was explained in yesterday's announcement.

They should make an event every month or every other month where when they do war rage events they give us the category chests for a limited time to purchase for the same price as they were before. Gives everyone something to look forward to and do their best to build the coins and medals up.
Also gives us a great opportunity to build up our relic fodder.
We’re clearly not getting that chest back so they could at least give us an event with those chests and it’s a win-win for both parties.

was anything changed recently how attacks happen?
I just tested 5 different war attacks and lost 3 of them, every single one none of my monsters had any accuracy loss but missed many times, and the enemy did a lot of super moves very frequently.
Nothing beats using 3 denial monsters, all 3 of them miss all of the enemies, then the enemy does a supermove and wins. 🤔

Team Wars need a little more love from a reward perspective. If you want to do well in team wars, it is VERY costly yet it has the lowest value rewards in the game:
War coins are almost worthless these days as we haven't had a new team shop monster in 2 years. None of the existing monsters are very competitive anymore and have very limited use. We desperately need a new generation of team shop monsters.
Medals briefly had appropriate value whilst the relic category chests were available. Now I get one diamond relic every 2-3 months. In that time I get more diamond relics with much less effort between PvP rewards, Monsterwood and Nemesis Dungeons.
It is just ludicrous how little value war coins and medals hold these days. There you pour tons of gems into top level wars and the only real reward is the fun you get out of playing it. And even that is tainted with horrible mismatches and total lack of interest by SP to actually try and fix these issues....

Agreee....100000% i did my best for fight for better rewards....its crazy how poor they are in the grand scheme.
Do one nem survival dungeon in a day and get same reward as 3 months of grinding wars.....i do 10-15 pvp battles and get 2-3 gold chests every 2 weeks...people race for a week and get 4 star monster worth 2k+ gems....we do battlegrounds for 3 days and get same medals as 2 month+ of warring
It makes zero sense why the MAIN ASPECT of the game is the least rewarded
The value of the old category chest was perfectly on par with the time, resources, dedication it takes to attain those medals.
But yes team shop needs more/better monsters...yes they are great for new players but what to dlong time players (whether they are elite or not) have in the shop to spend war coins on?

Would it not be worth changing the VIP monster chest to 1k medals and 1.5k coins to truly reflect how they aren't useful anymore considering Talany and Drakor have since gone poof.

@hidden atlas to answer your question in #general-feedback, off season is the period between two seasons that is used by the devs to implement changes and adjust the playing field, every major game has those. You get no trophies because there is nothing to compete for, rather you can war during this time just cause the devs dont let the players be sitting ducks for the time they need to make the transition between the previous season to the next

Was there a delay in the new season starting? Did it start on the half hour rather than the hour? We held off for 7 hours on starting the war and now see that we started it 10 minutes before the season started. However, we started it 20 minutes after when we expected the season to start.

Mmh, I guess our extreme (somewhat unintended) generosity of putting up heaps of easy defences is hiding the fact that our current match is just as bad as the previous one. Actually looked like we were losing as they smashed through all our easy defences in the first few hours of the war 😂

At the start of each season it always sucks. The top 60 teams have all 130 monsters and x runes.
My teams ranked around 100 and we try and put up a fight with our 115 monsters and Lv 6-8 runes but it's no contest

Why complain about get unbalanced match when you decide ur self to join dropping team ? If you want a fair match then join higher league thats simple , if u think you strong enough already then join higher league thats fit ur strength

the coin harvesting is solved because the dropped teams dont match babyteams anymore its however not like teams gaining big amount of trophies so they are quick at their right place in ranking

Hoping someone can help me understand. Last war my team tied with enemy, yet we lost trophies (more than the enemy did) and gained 104 war coins (not as many as were won in war). Not saying theres a glitch, or something went wrong, just trying to understand.
