I think the battle royale idea has merit. The concept is interesting in a space like this where session length is primarily short and ppl donât have time to wait around. Distilling the idea for the (third- or first-person shooter) io space is an interesting design challenge.

for it to work well, i think one of two things needs to happen,
either the game needs to not change much to accommodate it, I.E. the mode is just placed in the game, with unaltered mechanics, and the mechanics of the game itself stand it apart from other games of the same genre,
or,
you go out of your way to make a unique concept, by adding or changing something that will make it unique in the genre
especially since the genre is so saturated with similar games at the moment

A tutorial kinda sorta exists. It just needs a little push. Iâve moved it up on my list of priorities. Adding lore isnât a bad idea (we love that stuff) but a little tougher, and not such a great investment for a fast-paced multiplayer game. I think thereâd still be a bit in the single player level though.

It's hard to know because we don't usually get feedback from players who have bad perf issues. They just quit.
We have a series of lesser machines that we test things out on, but it's tricky. The world of Chromebooks is great. But it's so diverse it's very difficult to test everything.

Actually overtonic, in any private game there is a chance the server is made local to the first person in. This means they are more likely to be further away from where you default connect to when you join a public game

Also, I have seen castle is more complex because it's a castle. This is the same reason as to why Blue runs so well. It's simple.
