Also on flufsters suggestion, hes not trying to make this server shell league, he wants it to be more efficient and polished. We added that to shell league FOR that reason, many large servers use that. And honestly unless BWD sets a custom welcome message the #388405394416074762 channel is a waste of space. It's simply not needed. A category for "important info", also a very good idea. Keeping things sorted makes for less confusion. Once again I'll state. Nobody is trying to make this server shell league. @cyan burrow

the reason why the #388405394416074762 channel exists is so that the welcome messages that discord sends when someone joins aren't spamming an active chat, so they need somewhere to put them that is out of the way, most larger servers do it the way that this server does it

@wind quiver i do like ur concept of spectator and i wud love it to be implemented but it has a minor flaw. Cuz suppose we have a team that has full of mics and with individual player spectator they wud be able to player spectate their enemy teams which wud result in ez infos. But the developers cud maybe fix that by not allowing players to spectate players of their opposite team. But then even this has a flaw cuz if the league streamer wants to spectate players from both sides and cuz of that feature they will need to keep switching teams it wud waste quite some time..... So i wud suggest the fix for that to be that maybe create a new team called "spectator" and people of this "spectator" teams wud be the only one to be able to spectate freely (player spectate/free spectate) whereas players of blue/red team wud only be allowed to spectate their respective teammates.

the grenade thing happens a lot more often when things aren't running smoothly on my laptop. So I think it is related to performance issues

like yesterday I had a session in a fairly busy game (lots of players, never helps smoothness) and my FPS was very often down to 40 instead of the usual 60. At such times, literally more than half of my grenades don't go where I aim them

but it still doesn't make sense because they can go in the wrong direction even when I haven't turned around or even moved for more than a second

so the game shouldn't be getting my aim/position wrong, when it hasn't changed for 'ages'

In reality a response isn't needed if the suggestions are seen. If they like them they'll work towards possibly adding. It becomes a pain to reply to every single suggestion. I assume wizardsupport picks a few to reply to and simply reads the rest. It works just as well as if he were to reply to them all.

Its a tough one stealth - people may want their controls to be different when playing on a laptop or desktop

Quick note on the custom binds attached to the account, that would pose an issue for people playing on multiple devices (Ex: myself) Having it that way would completely screw up my binds and make me have to replace them every time i play (not fun)

as far as i understand, the grenade thing seems to be caused by latency, but like, exaggerated, even a small lag while throwing the grenade causes it to go wildly off course, reviewing my footages, every time there is a grenade malfunction like that, there is a ping spike, sometimes even by only like one or two MS

i think an interesting experiment would be to stand completely still while throwing grenades, like go around and collect grenades, then stand still for a few seconds so no movements are registered, and then throw all the grenades, and see if you ever run into the grenades physics glitch, if the grenades then fly off in some random direction, then its not a latency issue and is actually something else

i rescind my assessment of the glitch, it is not related to latency, collected grenades, then stood still for several seconds, so the game would not have any lasting latency movement register, and threw the grenades, every so often, the grenades would throw to the left or right instead of directly forward, i didn't find any that went directly backwards during this test

for a time there was a problem with the bullets not being fired exactly where you shot, so it could have been related to that, but since that has been fixed a while ago, and this still persists, unless the direction you are facing is registered differently for the guns and the grenade, but i don't see why that would be

its possible the vertical rotation axis isn't affected, but only the horizontal

i don't know how exactly the rotations are defined in the game, but if they are registered with a single horizontal and a single vertical rather than a point, it is possible that the grenade is being thrown incorrectly on a single axis, meaning that if you are looking up when you throw the grenade, it would be thrown down if it were to go behind you

#

making it seem like the grenade is thrown with a different throw power, but its actually a different height angle, but that is just a theory

It's a game you care about so your concerns are also passionate. There's nothing wrong with that, though. I think the initial criticism came from people who thought that it was unnecessary to swear in your suggestions. As someone who's learned how to take all manner of critical feedback over the years, I'll say that criticism and concerns are way better received when they are both (at least somewhat) constructive and without inflammatory language.

I'll add that, the most helpful thing you can do when giving bug/issue-related feedback is to be as descriptive as you can with your problem. What exactly is happening? When is it happening? Do you see it every time you do this? Stuff like that. Generalized issues like "fps is bad now" is helpful to a point, but only if it's very noticeable, i.e. widespread and persistent. In a situation where it's obvious that not everyone is experiencing the problem or it doesn't always exist (the fps decrease over time is a good example), it's helpful to let support know what kind of hardware you have and how/when you're you're experiencing the issue.
