Anyone had problems in last few days with sudden drop in FPS on Chrome? I was playing Shell-Shockers for couple months with FPS almost always on 60... yesterday and today it is on 2FPS 😦

@eager notch slobodan said that beginning in Chromium 84 (and 85) there have been a few problems with framerate and such; I was using MS Edge the other day (also Chromium-based) and I had my FPS uncapped, and it stopped responding for a few milliseconds every time i clicked. So there are some weird stuff going on with that. Hopefully it gets fixed in the next Chromium patch.

It does lead to pings like that for sure - I would not uncap right now and instead, if you desperately want more frames, buy a higher refresh rate monitor. These last a literal lifetime and are well worth the purchase!

that is a known bug where the weapons do not deal damage at all, it's happened to many people, and I think that the devs are working on it so they can release all of those bugfixes in the next monthly shell update.

Aye it looks like a connection issue, actually possibly for both of you. Sometimes your opponent can have a terrible ping and that can be why you are missing. Or they can bee just about to despawn

Not sure if this has ever been addressed, but there is a linear correlation between my ping/rubberbanding and my killstreaks in shell. The higher streak im on, the worse my ping/rubber banding. A recent example was my ping was fine until about 20ks, when i started rubberbanding/spiking slightly, all the way up to 60s killstreak where i was rubberbanding multiple egg widths the entire time and my ping would jump back and forth from 20 to 1000 every second. I died, and after respawn my ping was back to normal 20-40. This linear correlation has always been the case from my experience, but recently it has been egregious

Hey Wiz I had the wierdest bug ever so i was on red team but my username was blue and when ever I jumped my gun would disappear. Plus I got hardboiled at 2 kills also I could go through walls.

@tender thicket I tested this and qizbot was probably just being sleepy when you looked at it - it is assigning and unassigning roles as it should for myself
@nocturne lava That would be down to your local connection most likely as the reports are not widespread but just in case what server are you playing on?

i went to Photos (or movies and tv??) on Windows 10 and used that program to shorten the clip so it would fit

@harsh lotus That's far too high - did you previously download the frame uncapper script? That has been shown to inflate ping to huge levels sometimes.

The latest version of Chromium has fixed the framerate uncapping error, so you can now get 60+ fps using the --disable-frame-rate-limit on any Chromium-based browser 🙂
