It was excuse cause WS only told to ping if game is down from server side, as pinging during his sleep time can wake him up, waking him up for a skin bug would not be a great idea and he would definitely won't like it, which can be possibly solved by clearing cache.

Hello guys. I keep completing Future Shock's last level in Friday the 13th: Killer Puzzle, restarting the level, restarting the game and such but still once I complete this level, nothing really happens. I stay alone in the level with cat, sliding around... No idea what to do to complete it and get my achievement. 😦 Has anyone encountered this problem? I tried it on my both computers, same bug happens. Any solution ideas?

So after many experiment I can say that in Sidearm if u use ur sword in the air while shooting ( i actually only know for sure with glick glack) one the second use of word u will like go down to the ground the immediatley go up as if nothing happened and ur ball will still count as if shoot from up it does the same thing on the third use if u continue shooting. @weak ice

I've been dealing with fps loss in Shell Shockers specifically. It's been happening for about 3 days now, and I can't play the game at the settings I normally would. I normally linger around 130-144 in max settings, but now I've dropped to an average of 90 after installing a windows update, '1909'. Can anyone help me on this?
I've cleared my cache, reset chrome, restarted my pc, changed settings in chrome flags, messed with AMD settings, and more.

yo, every time i load into a game for Shell Shockers my FPS starts at 60, and as time passes it gradually decreases
however the second i refresh my tab and join the game again, my fps starts at 60 and slowly starts decreasing again every few minutes
the only way i can play this game atm is by refreshing the tab every couple minutes :/

SS update (0.)26.1 seems to have introduced a latency bug. Past couple days server ping has (supposedly) been fine and nothing on my system has changed, but my connection to the server is definitely a bit laggy. Rubber banding slightly and my shots are doing significantly less damage

i think this is a bug, not just me, but shell keeps on freezing for me. i gto upwards of 2000 ping, and i can move on my screen, but no one else is moving. my shots arent doing damage then either. after a few seconds, i end up dead, because apparently i was frozen in place. this happens on all servers for me, even german

Hello once again, this is the 3rd time I've brought up my problem about lag in #🐛・bug-reports. It's been about 1-2 weeks since I was regularly experiencing shell, and it's a problem. I've been dealing with a lag problem on my computer, that appears to be happening, only for shell. After I installed a windows update, I lost a tremendous fraction of the frames I normally get, (from 144 to 90) and need to downgrade my resolution to continue playing at 144hz. I've tried almost everything from different drivers, different browsers, messing with 'flags' in google, clearing cache, restarting my pc multiple times, messing with my 'Radeon Software', defragmenting and clearing up possible defective files and it's just not working. I'm asking if there's anything that could be done to help me in this situation, and if anyone knows what could be wrong with my computer/game. (For ShellShockers)

but I think it is possible that the drop to 90 is a symptom of an underlying problem such as his screen freezing up for very short amounts of time, which does get very annoying

@woven linden the difference between 90 and 144 is almost unnoticed unless you're moving around a lot. In a game like shellshockers, where I'm constantly looking up, down, left, right, to make sure I can secure a kill, it looks horrible. As @south mica stated, it's like going from 60fps to 30fps when you're used to playing at 144. This is causing me problems because I want to stream, but when I'm streaming with auto detail off it looks horrible for viewers. This is why I've taken a massive break from streaming.

Has anybody else reported issues in Shellshockers where their view randomly looks up/down/behind them while playing? I thought it was due to having multiple monitors but I'd disabled all but my main monitor and now I'm wondering if it's because of the 21:9 aspect ratio. Any ideas how I can fix it?

I fall off things a lot because I'll be running across something and it'll randomly make me run to the left or right so it's kind of annoying.
I originally thought it might be related to Synergy, but I don't have any other PCs turned on when I game now so I don't think that's it.

you can technically be killed by 3 p90/ak bullets but only if they all hit you in the center
but if you see 2 p90 bullets, there could be up to 6 of them... so yeah that sounds reasonable if they were coming from close range

These are good troubleshooting steps. If all new items are unequipped on dev and cache is cleared sometimes those dev -> live inventory glitches go away

i think one visible p90 bullet = 3 actual p90 bullets, so 2 visible = 6 actual, each bullet does 15hp dmg when egg center is hit, so its possible i guess

a p90 bullet right in the center does nearly 40 hp
but you have to be lucky to be EXACTLY in the center
if what spoopy reports was in a multiplayer game, the most likely explanation is that you also got shot from behind a fraction before you died
I mainly use free ranger and I have assisted many kills this way, where I'm sure people were confused how they could die by 1 shotgun shot from a bit of distance... but I took 90+ hp with a free ranger bullet at the same time

I'm not sure if you know this already but I'll still say it anyway. All of the snowflake face img are missing, if you go to their links it just takes you to an error 404 Not Found page.
Also I think I've said this before but it has been in sidearms for a while. If you deal damage to someone just as they leave the game your screen will freeze, this also applies to when pink orbs land if you shoot them at the exact time as they land you'll freeze.

Usually (and of course not all the time) but usually if your connection is bad to every server, there is some heavy traffic on your network. A good step is to go to speedtest.net and compare your results to a normal day. If it's different then chances are your ISP is experiencing issues or it's a local problem. Very rarely it wilkl be us but then a bunch of people will be typing here at the same time with the issue

i was on a call with someone who ran into that issue and when they stood still line up the shot, it was like they fired while jumping even though you could see them stop and wait to line up the shot (the aim was just off in some random direction) they had to refresh the game to fix it.

I have got that recently on a few maps and it seems to happen when viewing certain blocks, but the issue goes away before too long. See if you can notice a pattern for when it happens to you and where you are looking at the time. We are gathering data and then we can try some tests to repro the issue

Hey there guys! Not sure if its a glitch or not, but I know this didn't used to happen. My lower end laptops, one an i3 and the other an i5, with built in I N T E L graphics. (Bleeding edge I know) If the frames per second drop below 60 on these, the mouse starts doing a rubber band effect, where I move the mouse and the character on screen trails behind the movement.
It didn't used to do this, but started doing it recently. Is there anything I can do to remedy this? It seems to be specifically on my intel based laptops, as my core 2 duo desktop I have with an AMD card, seems to have no issue at all.
Also my main rig with an AMD 8 core, and Nvidia graphics has no issue at all. Seems to be just intel that has the issue.
Huh... and I just realized that my one laptop apparently has ATI graphics in it that is hiding some how.

All browsers are locked. I just researched it a bit. APparenlty the only way to get it to use the dedicated graphics, (AMD) is to go into the BIOS and disable the intel graphics.

tailsfurse, some computers with igpu and dedicated gpu's you have to go through and make sure when demanding graphics start it kickes over to dedicated gpu. some laptops even have a shortcut to launch with discrete gpu off the bat. might be something you would want to look into but if your just using it as a desktop i guess you could also just straight disable the igpu in bios if it has the option

@graceful finch The 6350 is pretty dated. Even if you force it, Chrome might blacklist it (which means horrible things perf-wise). If disabling the Intel chip doesn't seem to help, go to chrome://flags and enable the 'override software rendering list' option. Also if you just started having problems with this machine, it's possible your integrated GPU recently ended up on the list and it's been using software rendering.

it's a pretty annoying bug but I think it's probably hard to fix. I'm sure the wizards would like to hear it if you can tell them exactly how to reproduce it
my impression is that it never happens when my target is standing still, only when they are moving, particularly when they are jumping. So I reckon it's something to do with movement and some latency that isn't handled properly, but it's hard to tell
often I've discussed this with other players in-game and they say they have sub-40ms ping (and so do I) so it's not purely a matter of high ping

ok so this is what I can reveal so far:

I don't feel that it's a latency issue. The bug is consistent across high and low latency games.

I play with the shottie most of the time. I can't say whether this issue happens with other weapons.

The issue occurs fairly consistently and I can replicate it a lot of the time when:
- I'm equipped with the shottie.
- I engage with another player.
- There's a lot of jumping around (maybe.. just maybe this isn't always the case but I haven't paid enough attention to know for sure).
- I switch to pistol at some point in the battle (usually when they are close to dead).
- If I die, I respawn and switch back to shottie.
- I have the bug.
It doesn't happen all the time but here are some other things I notice after the bug has occurred:
- When I shoot I an opponent can see the shell fragments hit them but the yolk spots don't appear. It's as though I'm shooting into the distance.
- Shots from any distance beyond point blank don't connect.
- If I get in real close to an opponent I can sometimes get a kill.
- At some point the issue goes away.
What I think could be happening...
I don't understand the mechanics behind the game so I could be off here but I'm assuming that when I switch to the pistol, the "strike zone" if you will is reduced to a point (for a single bullet).
When the bug occurs it feels like when I'm back to using the shottie I still have the pistol's "strike zone" and hence, nothing connects unless i'm real close.
For the attempted workaround, after I've detected the bug, I've been:
- Switching back to pistol
- Firing a few times
- Reloading
- Switching back to shottie.
I haven't done this enough to know whether it works consistently or not but I thought I'd mention it in case others are having the issue and want to study it more in play.
I strongly feel that it's connected to the pistol. I can't recall ever having had this issue without the pistol being involved.

by the way, just for information: the shell fragments appear whenever your browser thinks you hit someone. The yolk splash appears when the server says you hit someone (which is what counts)
So when you see shell fragments but no yolk, it means the server decided that your shot didn't hit

I concur with saba's statement that it seems to be more common when the opponent is jumping around
but it's not that jumping makes you immortal because I've made so many mid-air kills of opponents trying to jump down to safety 🙂

when you are jumping, if you or your opponent have a latency issue, its much harder to determine where the hitbox of the characters are, specifcially because jumping is the fastest single movement the player can make

one theory I had is that something is up when ping is unstable, even if it's low. I know there is lag compensation in the game, but what happens when my opponent's ping reduces by 20ms and during those 20ms my bullet was supposed to hit?
Since the shotgun technically fires 20 bullets at once, maybe it has a high probability that at least part of the bullets are "lost" in a ping fluctuation, meaning you are dealing less damage than usual
By the way, the "no damage" thing works the other way around as well. I've often had such glitchy opponents who didn't take damage when I sent 2 free ranger shots right through their center (at least that's how it looked on my screen)... and then I missed a shot (on my screen) and that missed shot killed them

@limber dune I used to get this bug with the whipper all the time, other players in the same game reported that no bullets were coming out of the gun, so i would just relog and it would be fixed. It probably happened to me about 10 times and I started getting paranoid and relogging every time something even seemed a little off. I haven't noticed this happening since maybe Christmas though.

if you switch from a pistol that has 5/45 in the gun
to a rpegg with 0/0 and walk over some ammunition

I can confirm yesterday I most definitely had the no damage bug after switching to pistol and back. So not glitchy shots due to sync issues, but no damage at all even for hits on targets that were standing still
Actually I think it happened after I was killed while holding pistol, and then switching back to my main gun after respawning. But I'm not 100% sure about that
Once my shots were firing blanks, switching back and forth between pistol and main did NOT do anything, but hitting ESC and spawning again did solve the issue.
