@noble kiln My guess is that you were in a room that was dying. Right now it seems like the only bug that causes performance to decline like that. Unfortunately your only option (right now) in a room like that is to join a different one. We're working on figuring out why that happens, but it requires some extensive testing unfortunately. So I'm noticing a pattern between pullback issues and lobbies i joined with a code. Whenever i create or join a random lobby, my game is fine, no pullback issues. However whenever I join a lobby with a code whether its in the link or inputted manually, my frames drop a bit and i have the pullback glitch and regular pings spikes
I thought it was just that whenever i joined streamer lobbies, i had their stream in the background, hence the lag. However today i wanted to come back to a particular public lobby that was running s i l k y s m o o t h prior to me leaving, so i saved the code, left for a bit, then came back, and it suddenly displayed the lag symptoms. I tried this with a couple more maps to find similar results. Not sure what to make of this, but it seemed pretty consistent since version 25 so i wanted to post

it seems there may be someting else on your end that is interfering with something in the game, what that could be i have no idea, but if it were an issue with just the game, then more than just a handful of people would be having an issue with it
sometimes its the stupidest stuff, like, i had tracking issues with my Oculus recently after a large oculus system update, and i couldn't find a fix for it, and it turned out the thing that was causing the issue was that i was using the bottom row of USB ports instead of the top row for the sensor stations

In terms of game size, this is a browser based game which does add on some limitations. I'm not saying there is nothing to improve as we are always looking to improve the gamer experience but the private server information is worth looking into

Enter chrome://gpu and look for the GL_RENDERER line. If it says "SwiftShader", you're not in hardware-accelerated mode
You'll have to turn that on, and possibly have Chrome ignore the GPU blacklist

Ok. I'd just make sure Chrome has you running hardware acceleration then... chrome://settings -> advanced (scroll to the bottom), and the setting is near the bottom of that.

I figured out the problem with mouse skipping - Chrome on Windows wouldn't handle more than a polling rate of 250 Hz from the mouse consistently at a screen refresh rate of 60 Hz.
I don't know if the screen refresh rate affects this problem

So this happens with the crackshot and whipper. So like when you shoot the crackshot, no bullets come out of the gun

The whipper does have a fair amount of recoil making anything other than close range shots difficult. With the crackshot accuracy is key and bloom is the enemy. Try stating perfectly still and it should improve your shots

I see that with the shotgun sometimes. The way I understood is, white particles means the client thinks it's a hit, and yellow splash is an actual hit confirmed by the server. So if you see only white, there is a disagreement between you and the server

Good to hear Ordezzi - that is a known glitch where sometimes firebase will become disconnected form a player. It's pretty rare but does happen

seems to be a one time issue. not sure what you guys did recently but it has stopped me from lagging at all. also a small issue ive noticed been around for a while (a minor issue but could be a cool feature) is if you double click play to fast it unrenders your crosshairs until you fire your weapon. (just shoot your pistel to fix it). could be a neat gamemode maybe no crosshairs mode try to attack people without crosshairs lol

Also, adding on the Grif, when you quickly spam, or double-whatever click on the play button when respawning into the shell game, yes you get the crosshair bug, but then when you die you will spawn in early before you get to click play and it's still in countdown... and this leads to a bug where you spawn, but not in 1st POV, but you're circling the map like when you haven't spawned in. I'll try and show a video.

The first is when i crash and get kicked from a server, a join another time and i get stuck on the frame where it crash but the games still goes on ( i can shoot, jump, die, etc)

I'm having lag issues once again in Shell Shockers. I did a windows update last night, and when I came online just now, I suddenly need to turn off auto detail to get more than 100fps.
Any ideas why I'm getting such a substantial amount of fps loss?

it's definitely the game, and not my computer, because when I move my mouse fast on the desktop, and when I'm not in fullscreen, I can see the cursor more times than when I'm in full screen, in the game, and moving it.
this means I'm getting 144fps on my computer, while I'm not getting that on shell.

There are a few ways to confirm your refresh rate of the monitor (different to fps) rather than just by feel! Give it a look and see if it is stuck to some lower number
