So the book will be a summary which makes it easier to get all the information about the lore. I like this idea! and it fits with @slim hatchs stance, because its not fiction, but things we already know for sure and its useful at that point, that we have now an easier way to inform, especially for new people. What we know is that a deck of tarot named True deck exist. And this deck hold some power. It also seem that the deck contain more than the usual tarot cards.

I think the traits could still tie into the true deck, ones like bulletgrubber and bolt thrower.are just enhanced reflexes and dexterity(let's be honest nobody can operate a crossbow like that) blodless and mithradist could be modifiers to a body, along with hornback and bulwark

I'm still convinced that conduit allows either patching oneself into a forming wellspring or into the wellspring dimension through the clues

Arpy, tell me if im rushing too hard or if i tell something already known, but are the hunters from quickplay maybe trapped in the other "hell" dimension having an opportunity to get out? because if thats the case, it would explain that the sacrifice for DS has nothing to do with being trapped on the other dimension (you can get tier 1 hunters from quickplay without pigment loss and everything)

@noble vine dont get us wrong. Continue to make wild crazy speculation! Makes me incredibly happy seeing people do this and get really into the lore! But when something has been proven as fact it is fact. When we prove something. A writer approves it. So definitely speculate wildly.
I.e the fact that sculptors have one or more "aspects" : unproven.
The game is about one story being retold over and over again: proven
Becausw without people like you speculating wildly, we would never have any stones to throw or things for proof.

In regards to Recruiting that's purely gameplay as much as we know

Metal like cages is probably early attempt to keep afflicted people safe as they got violent in hopes of maybe being able to cure them

None have embedded metal in them aside from maybe butcher

But with Butcher only metalic part he has is the hook the rest are ornaments

That he wears on himself

#

as much as i recall

#

And Butcher does show some degree of intelligence

As his head is just a dud.

I think the mask was something that people did....They had a tendency to place their religion ontop of what was happening. So i think they were done after the infliction started to set it. maybe trying to heal them or keep them from hurting anyone while they practiced there voodoo rituals to save them

You actually don't need to press enter few times, ctrl + enter give you a page break to go to the next page. Same for all the doc editor.
And yeah The problems Arpy encounter is some casual problems from docs editor and not only Google. Google docs is pretty smooth and easier to use than Microsoft one or open office.
The Steam guide is a good thing, but since it's a web format and not a docs format, the presentation is different. Is doc is here to simulate a book, or some sort of things who can be print and be separate in page. I think if you do the same with the steam guide, it'll also be a mess.
Steam guide are like blogs, or forum post, you can format it with HTML (I think, never create one)

Just read what was said today.
Immolator feel different from the other foes, but it doesn't bother me to much in the universe. Why? Because we don't know what sculptor(s) is (are). We don't know how "hell" work.
We do know that a sculptor is in play in the bayou, and it's most likely that the monster here are made by him. There all seem to be modify adding some sort of insects components. And we know that the spider is also a human with chitins parts. so could be the same. The only one I wonder is the water devil. Also like some people said, the immolator could be from another sculptor, or just another entity without name yet. In the QnA the devs said there are other entity in play

About origin of Hellhounds can't say for sure but if we take into account the rules we can observe they are probably former guard-dogs.

The hunters' area of operations has the literal hell seeping into it so a bunch of creepy items scattered out of place only seems fitting.

All the symbolism is what got me interested in the game in the first place. It feels like something completely ordinary in the game itself, which I am particularly fond of. The extraordinary being ordinary. Still waiting for the tarot as a gameplay/progression expansion.

I think it will be more like the thing possess a core than can be damage, and the core will be available when the monster is in human form. Hoterwise he will move in bug mode and be very hard/impossible to damage

Is it a hive mind ability like hive and meathead? If so were is the Core controlling it? And why does it seem a bit more precise than the hive? Like the bug can take human shape, a crolling in saperate direction
