Currently, summoned units, for example, can be summoned automatically for various reasons. Some after losing a shield, some even for no reason. I would like to assign a trigger - shield loss, health damage >300 or start of a battle. This applies to at least summoned units, and possibly other items. You can define 3-4 triggers to choose from and assign them in the item menu.
I understand that this may be too complicated, but it doesn't work perfectly now either.
#Ability to assign an automatic activation trigger to an item.

doesn't that tread into changing the role of an item?
like, i'm all for this system of giving an option to make item only manual or whatever automatic condition is.
but actual kind of automatic trigger is kind of tied to intent of the item itself -
popping a bubble on shield loss - totally
extra shot chance on normal shots - absolutely
summoning a guardian on health damage - checks out
and you kind of get used to it quite quickly and don't even think of what's the trigger is - it's almost in the name of the item
however this new proposition - idk, i get the sentiment of adding further customization, but not sure if it will ever be prioritized - due to what i've said above, among other possible considerations
The different trigger conditions are in some cases a leftover of the versions before Powerslotting made it's way into the game. Some are arbitrary, and some come from the time before that, when particular items were passive but had a very specific trigger. I agree that some items currently are just better than others at being Powerslotted purely because of their trigger mechanism
So basically it would be easier to solve it by reworking each item according to its purpose. Got it. I think my problem, among other things, is that I spent too much time in the game (particularly in the last iteration) and began to treat it more like a finished product. But many things change and will change. I will take this into account.
"Want it to be better? Make it yourself."
Would be very effective if somehow everyone could be bothered, which sure as heck isn't the case.
Isn't that basically how economy works? You pay for things you want
Or, more commonly in this age, you pay for services rendered
So basically it would be easier to solve it by reworking each item according to its purpose
Not what I'm saying. The specific triggers are actually nice to have in most cases and make the item feel unique and different. But some are hurt more than others by that
A conclusive change for that would be very large in scope and effort
