#Recover hidden folder possible on iOS 18?

On older iOS you could rename a folder to start with a period and it would hide it, but you could still find it with file explorer apps. With iOS 18 (or possibly 17?) it does not seem possible anymore... I've tried connecting to a mac and it won't show either. And with no jailbreaks anymore, is there anyway to recover the files inside this hidden folder, potentially from a device backup? Or are they forever in the void.... :/

doesn't work w/ browsing files on finder for the connected iphone, and imazing/ibackup extractor don't show hidden folders either :/
probably just be unable to recover them then

Where did you put these files

Putting . at the beginning of a filename only hides it from the user, other than that hidden files aren't special, they're just regular files with a name that starts with a .

If nothing works a backup should definitely have them
