I have an Iphone8.

Currently it's only pulling 0.08 amps/0.44 watts

What is the iPhone 8 normally supposed to pull?

any draw at all means tristar is working to a degree

So, I finally gotten around to doing this.

What I noticed was that the tigris chip was working fine. Tristar was not.

I did not have a tristar chip on hand, so I was waiting for a donor board. However, upon finally getting one. I decided on trying to charge the battery, lo and behold the device turned on! Wow. Freaky stuff. Ended up desoldering and replacing anyway, still works.
