switch control not letting me use my phone

i turned on switch control and the popup saying switch control uses gestures used to control your phone and the message wont go away and it says press power off button to cancel, that wont work or trying to power off my phone wont work

all i can do now is wait for my phone to die

just restart your device it should be off
