doesn't need jailbreak, but if you're not JB'd you need to wipe the device to set it as supervised I think

and make a profile with Apple Configurator 2

idk if it's possible to block Hulu ads on the DNS level, but if it is, that could work without JB

I had a few 4k's that were all on 12.4. A couple I upgraded in time OTA to 13.4.5 and jb with u0, another I used Charles Proxy and a 13.4.5 beta to get to 13.4.5 after 13.4.6 came out. And the last one I used Charles Proxy again but this time I had to reset the device to 12.4 first. Point being sometimes a reset and start fresh can really help

You are working with an HD box, so should be easier

My suspicion is you could have a buggered file system that is not being repaired with the on board reset and you might need a full reset through iTunes. However, this would require saving blobs first then updating to the latest signed firmware and then futurerestoring back to 13.4.5. Not for the faint of heart. And, it still may not work.

@fleet parcel I've only installed u0 with Xcode, then restarted the box to get out of JB mode, then ran restore rootfs with u0 to get rid of previous jailbreaks (ie. Electra and Chimera). Then jb with u0. That worked for me. However, I've noticed with u0 it will ask you to respring and run the jb again to complete the process (ie. get Nito to show up)

@fleet parcel before upgrading to 13.4.5 I made a backup of Kodi. It created a zip which I've put back on the new box and pointed the Backup addon to it. When I run restore it just throws an error and says check the log file. I found threads on this as a known problem, solutions are for desktop Kodi versions. Short of rebuilding Kodi again from scratch, which is a pain, do you know of an Apple TV fix for restore from a backup file?

reason being is because the covid-19 info was introduced in iOS.. but not inside tvOS (seeing as you don't need it on your TV) and hence, the big update was renamed
