The collectively unchanged Battleforce was left in the shadows of actual changes
The last announcement was no planned changes for 18 months, then not even 6 months later there’s this. Hits hard

I like that clones get diversity and got rid of the shackles of fire support. FS was cool and all, but it also made it all samey and static.
I like that scoring is not a last second affair now, and I like that we have secondary objectives now.
I think I like the changes to Turn0, as it seems less "all or nothing" to me now.
I am a bit sad that it'll take a while to get proper cards, but that comes with the benefit that probably most erratas will be in at that point, so the cardstock is then stable.
I’m coming from the competitive side of legion so my views will probably reflect that.
I loved list building. I enjoyed coming up with a skew list that would do well on objectives and then trying to figure out how big of a bid did I need. I enjoyed building 800 point lists that needed to have answers for everything.
Since the 4 card flop, turn 0 was never all or nothing. If you brought a no bid list and couldn’t play 6 of the objectives, you did that to yourself that’s not the games fault.
I don’t like any of the changes to turn 0. It removes one of the main parts of the game that I thought made Legion special.
I enjoyed the chaos that could be created by forcing Vaps on hemmed in etc.
I enjoyed that for each objective there were 8 possible deployments. That made a lot of different combinations of games to play.
I think AMG could have achieved just as much excitement by introducing new battle cards and create a season that like selected 5 of each for competitive play. That and make Red win ties and the bid/ Turn 0 issues would be fixed in my option.
I enjoyed that many of the objectives required your units to interact with them. All of the new ones just feel like intercept but with different locations.
I’m a firm believer that the objectives make or break the game. And these all feel too similar to be interesting.
As something positive to say, I think I like the changes to cover. It will definitely take some learning to play effectively.
I like that even after a card is discarded, you can reshuffle the 3 card deck and try to get something back to counter. As an aside, now Low Orbit has to completely change our podcast style since the drastic changes make past information irrelevant.
I'm very concerned about the cost of entry. It may be nothing and I could be completely misunderstanding but it looks like the game is getting more expensive and the relatively low cost has been my main selling point to most of my friends I've convinced to play. I'm not sure how much the average cost of someone's first army is affected but that could be big in my area where legion is already struggling due to 40ks dominance.
