Oh yeah, I got it sorted out, I sat there, looking at the instructions for like maybe 15 seconds or so, looked at the screenshot, and realized “oh, in the stream deck software”

Maybe it’s just me, but I have expectations of instructions, being “clear and concise“, especially when it’s a troubleshooting section that fixes a problem that they themselves cause

no Im on v.27.2.4 Ive DL all the NDI tools the NDI shows up on the obs tools and sources section. My streaming pc can see my gaming pc thru the ndi but the screen is black. I also made sure all my video dimensions are set to the same on both pc. even did the transform to fit screen. but still a black screen. even made sure my firewall allows obs and NDI both on private and public network. I also even tried Teleport and that is doing the same thing too.

So adding a GoXLR channel directly to obs means the faders won’t control the level and you’ll have whatever the output level is on the channel as recognized by windows. That being said, you can definitely add a channel directly to obs by simply adding the output as an audio source. You’ll want to make sure you disable the routing to the broadcast stream mix in the GoXLR app if you do that.

Jank being works 1 minute then just refuses to grab the audio the next minute and have to resort to win capture audio (oddly WCA does the same thing, and I have to alternate every few hours)

Not that I know of. You can assign it to the twitch vod track in obs and set the audio level in the obs scene as a workaround.

While the OBS-NDI plugin has not been updated since 2020, it really hasn't needed one until now, because OBS 28 was updated to the QT6 programming platform. If you absolutely need the NDI for your OBS setup, don't up to 28 until the plugin is updated. Or, there are work-arounds using the NDI Tools Suite, but it's more elaborate than just using the plugin.

The tabs that aren't Macro are deprecated, not maintained or guaranteed to work (can't say if thats the case here). You should really try to do your things in macros. They should be able to do anything the tabs previously did.

Go to this section. Create a macro on the left. Add a condition to the top right. Add an action you want that condition trigger to do, at the bottom right.

I can't seem to get it to work.

I installed the latest versions of the DroidCam Virtual Output and DroidCam Drivers on the PC, and the DroidCam OBS app on Android. I then opened the app on my phone, created a scene in OBS on my computer, added a 'Video Capture Device' source to it, and selected 'DroidCam Video' as the device, but it's stuck on 'Start DroidCam'.

The DroidCam OBS app on my phone was stuck on 'Waiting for Connection', so I figured it's missing something running on the computer to which it would connect. While looking through OBS menus, I found Tools > DroidCam Virtual Output and set it to Active, but nothing appears.

What am I doing wrong? Do I also need the DroidCam PC client or the DroidCam OBS Camera plugin installed? The documentation seems to indicate that it's an alternative to that, but doesn't make it clear as I couldn't find a setup guide.

I have a question. I’m trying stream RTSP from OBS studio to Zoom. I have it set up an OBS studio and it’s working properly, at least it appears, in that particular app, but when I pull up Zoom I’m just getting the OBS logo with a camera and a slash through it. What am I doing wrong? I’ve tried toggling on and off the start virtual camera button but none of that seems to be working. Any help would be greatly appreciated. 2. In OBS Studio, go to Settings > Audio and select "CABLE Input" as your Monitoring Device
3. Go to Edit > Advanced Audio Properties and enable Audio Monitoring for the audio sources you'd like to stream to Discord.
4. In Discord, in Voice & Video settings, select "CABLE Output" instead of your microphone under "Input device".

Now anything you monitor in OBS Studio will be streamed to Discord. Similar steps will work with other conferencing apps, such as Microsoft Teams or Slack.

For clarity, the three items you've mentioned are rendered by 3 completely separate things: the mixer renders in software, browser sources use browser texture sharing, and chat is rendered by the browser directly

I don't know how all 3 could run into a problem together.

Me either. I think it's three separate issues that got noticed at near the same point in time, but even separate, I have no idea how to deal with any of this. All that sticks out to me in their logs is "They're using plugins that I've never heard of, so maybe it's their fault somehow". I suggested that they try to see if those plugins have specific Discords for them, as well as poking here. I think they actually listened and might've done both. o.=.o.

The only way to install/uninstall plugins is either via EXE file supplied by the plugin maintainer, and uninstall it the same way as any programs installed in Windows, or by manually copying the files into the correct directories in the OBS installation. To uninstall that way, you have to know the names of every file that was copied in, and manually delete them. These are the only two ways of doing it until OBS gets a built in plugin manager.

green virtual camera is a known issue in OBS 28.0.2 specifically if you're using Full colour range in Settings -> Advanced. change it back to Limited/Partial

If you're using two OBS instances to have to different aspect ratios, you really should be using Spout between the two OBS instances as it's both much higher quality and faster than trying to emulate a webcam. More info here:

there's instructions for the streamdeck plugin. the other one is the virtual camera plugin. OBS has virtual camera built in so most don't need it and you're free to uninstall.

Looking for some advice regarding clipping features when streaming/recording. I'll be using OBS to record/stream the long play but rather than having to go through long hours of gameplay to find a specific 30 seconds to clip, is there a plugin for obs/app that can do this? The replay buffer is a feature that allows you to keep a rolling buffer of OBS' output for a set amount of time (known as "flashback recording"), which can be saved to disk as a recorded video when a hotkey is pressed. You can enable it via Settings -> Output.

well interestingly enough when i try to install streamFX on this PC it defaults to C:\ProgramData\obs-studio\plugins\StreamFX which is not my OBS install path. i'm not sure how to streamFX installer works specifically so you'll want to reach out to the developer

1. Exit OBS (make sure OBS is not running)
2. Delete the folder %appdata%\obs-studio\plugin_config\obs-browser\obs_profile_cookies
3. Start OBS
4. Settings -> Stream -> disconnect -> connect

So i tried installing the OBS Midi plugin from the official forum/github. I'm on windows, downloaded the right version but it still doesnt work, everytime i start up OBS it says i need to either delete or update the plugin because it doesnt work. Can anyone help me on that ? Is there any alternative to be able to use midi on OBS that doesnt need midi key mapping ?

no harm in that i guess. you can uninstall OBS, streamFX, websocket, and the virtual cam plugin all through your windows settings. then just run the installer for OBS + the installer for streamFX.

Hey guys. for people that use 3rd party apps and such to detect when obs has stopped or started a stream websocket 5 for OBS changed that. we can now only get the stream state change. is there plans to make it easier to pull that information for 3rd parties?

is this actually the case? StreamStateChanged should return outputActive which will tell you whether it is made active (started) or inactive (stopped). it also returns outputState which tells you specifically what is going on as a string.

would output state include the actions of the stream "starting" and "stopping" i think that was also available not just the started and stopped. hmm at least with lioranboard/sammi. they used to be able to instantly pull the states but now we need to code it in. theye said it was an OBS websocket 5 issue . puts on thinking cap

hello, I was having issues with a green tint on obs virtual cam and I uninstalled virtual cam only to realize the solution after. This problem arised with the new update but there is a solution. Now my problem is that in uninstalling it, I cannot find a working version like the one I had installed

You also need to change your color back to 709/limited under Settings -> Advanced -> Video. Full breaks things and causes issues like the green webcam.

Most video editing applications and video streaming platforms expect a limited-range (partial) input; streaming or recording in Full range will result in color clipping, often reported as overly bright or dark image. You can change your color range setting in Settings > Advanced.

Hey, so I just got the Multiple RTMP Output plugin to get a stream going on several platforms. And I just need some help setting it up as none of the guides I found answer all the questions. Firstly, what do I have to enter for RTMP Server for each of the platforms I'm streaming to? And secondly, what do I select as the stream output in the Stream settings for OBS to go through the plugin and stream to all the platforms I put on it?

The NVIDIA Noise Removal option will appear as part of the "Noise Suppression" filter, alongside RNNoise and Speex.
