To capture audio from selected applications only, similar to Discord, you can try the new OBS audio capture plugin (Windows 10 2004 and above only)
ok thanks
Hello, good afternoon, here I have a problem with the StreamFx obs plugin. It happens that when I install this plugin, the obs does not recognize it and it is not activated on the platform. I don't know if you can help me solve this problem with the recognition of this plugin, please.
If you are looking for more information or support for the StreamFX plugin, please visit the forum resource page.
@spiral ember how did you install it?
how can i put my camera when i record my game or when i live stream. Everything on youtube all the time
you just add a video device capture source.
Is there a problem with that?
do i need to buy something?
no, you just connect your webcam to the computer and add a source
ok thank you very much i did it
Hey can anyone help me with the NDI plugin?
I'm trying to send both audio and video but only one audio device is being sent, any way to send all of them?
Try the plugin Teleport, personally have a way better experience with that over the current implementation of NDI.
Does it have the same performance as NDI?
No idea, it sends audio & feed from 1 OBS to the other over network. Similar to NDI.
I did find a solution for the NDI audio problem, I'll try teleport later
boa tarde, instalei o NDI mas ele não aparece no OBS alguem passou por isso?
Welcome to the official OBS Community Discord server! Unfortunately, our support volunteers can only provide support in English. Most of our support documents and guides are also only in English. If you feel comfortable using a service like Google Translate, feel free to use that to send messages to us. We'll do our best to understand your intent, and we'll try to help you as much as we can.

good afternoon, I installed the NDI but it does not appear in the OBS has anyone experienced this?

Hello, I am looking for a countdown timer which will start when I click eye icon to show it up. So basically it means that timer needs to be frozen during eye icon is closed. Is it possible? If something is missing in question I will respond asap.
I think that's the behaviour of the base countdown timer script. If it isn't, it's easily changeable
Could you send any url to it? I will check if it is that I am looking for
it's in the scripts folder of your obs install

hey, quick question - can you combine Dowstream Keyer with Advanced Scene Switcher?
I'd like to automate the lower thirds popping up on the screen.
Is it possible to appeal any reviews with false information that are on my obs resource page? Someone just gave a one star review with the text we insulted someone but I am sure that never happened.
according to the name it sounds like a spam account and he is also calling on people to report my resource.
we got a report for this, I'll check with the team if some action was already taken and will get back to you
Did someone report the user or my resource?
your resource
Same, I will get back to you as soon as I know more
We have over 10k+ happy users 🙂
Yeah, no action will be taken against your plugin resource, probably just someone angry
What about the review that was left?
He also said in the review that we take usernames and passwords, but that is not even true. There is no way for us to get spotify passwords
As I said, someone else from the team already look at it, I am waiting for them to get back to me so we can take action
Sorry, wasn't clear
Since @opal tangle's matter was more important atm, let me repeat my question from before
Can you combine Dowstream Keyer with Advanced Scene Switcher?
I'd like to automate the lower thirds popping up on the screen.
isn't the person in the youtube video at the obs forums page also doing that?
don't know, haven't seen it. care to provide a link?
Might be talking of this one from the DSK post https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AqsB6MjCfBU
yes that one
I would use down stream keyer combined with Source Switcher plugin for something like that, but that might be because I made both of those plugins so I'm biased

Hi I'm currently having a problem where when I apply a filter on an image like Crop it makes it disappear, could someone help me ?
Hi everyone.
For the Replay Source plugin, is there a way that I can manually start/stop recording? The tutorials I see are always using a preset time.
The idea is for someone on a secondary PC to trim the replays and make a compilation while the match is running, so at the end, it can be displayed
the replay source starts its buffer as soon as the filter is enabled
when saving the full buffer is saved
there are hotkeys to trim the replay that can be used but only work when the replay is played
But what if for example, the buffer is set for 20 seconds, but the highlight is bigger than that? Its lost and nothing that can be done?
replay source keeps the raw video data in memory for as long as you set the buffer
Got it. Thanks a lot ❤️
The "Source Record" plugin says its Windows/MacOS/Linux, but requires the Visual Studio C++ redistributable. How is that going to work on other than Windows?
I'd assume that that requirement is only meant for windows
OBS itself requires that on Windows, it's required to build for Windows.
Other platforms won't need it.
Oh, so a bit pointless specifying it for the plugin then..
Well, not pointless, it's for developers who are building the plugin mostly.
But not necessary for the user install instructions though.
Correct
Hi! Does anyone have the plugin to zoom in on a source? If possible would anyone be able to show it to me and maybe walk me through how I can install it?
Do you mean zooming in as an animated zoom like a camera does? If so, you can use the move-transition plugin for that, animating the source properties or a Scale/Aspect filter. You can find that plugin on the OBS Resources website along with directions of how to install it and other documentation etc.
If you don't need animated zoom-in, then you can just duplicate the source or use a nested scene, and scale it using the transform sizing, or a fixed Scale/Aspect filter.
I've seen it on a stream but I don't exactly know how they do it, so I'm not entirely sure which plugin is the right one
See above.
dude, those two are AMAZING. no, more like A.M.A.Z.I.N.G, thank you so much!
this is exactly what I was looking for, thanks!
Any locally hosted browser sources with a programming interface for triggers and stuff?
Trying to figure out if I have to make something myself or not : )
kruiz control
Ah this is perfect, thank you
👍
Hi Team, I hope I can find some help with this unicorn. Im looking for a plugin where i want it to do the following:
Hiding source A will automatically show source B
Hiding source B will automatically show source A
heres an example
I tried using the advance switcher but i dont think im doing it right. Any guidance is welcomed
advanced scene switcher is definitely the right plugin for the job.
any guidance on how to get this done? I have a stream deck and would like to do it by pressing a button
well, it might be easier with a streamdeck and you could avoid the plugin entirely. just add a multi action toggle or switch (i forget what they are called) and set "1" to hide source A and show source B, set "2" to hide source B and show source A
Im using it on Linux, lol the only way to do this is via websocket where i toggle one off and toggle the second on. The stream deck on linux is still in its early statges of support so its only basic functionalities
SHOOT! one of the developers in here made their own streamdeck integration tool and i can't remember who :/
aw man!
@mortal harbor Thinking of bar raider?
AH i just remembered a colored name
are you sure it was Liva? i can't find what i'm remembering in his post history
this one? https://barraider.com/obs.html
that is what sudo mentioned although i'm not familiar with it (i don't use linux)
doesnt seem like its linux compatible 😕
I'm only finding him mention building his own stuff and not linking anything.
i quickly made this in advanced scene switcher. with this macro, if i toggle on/off my "Text(GDI+)" source, it automatically shows/hides the other text source
yeah someone definitely linked something. i'm going to keep searching
The only closest thing of his I found was a custom multiview html file.
i can't find it. i thought it was either in tech talk or off topic but i give up. eiother way @eternal marsh i'm sure there's a better way to do it but the macros i linked for advanced scene switcher seem to work for me.
Awesome! This worked!
Hi All!
Found MonsterCat has a great URL for including "currently playing" feature to add to your OBS stream and I do love it.
I was wondering if there are others out there that have some modificational' features. I want to put this on the Bottom Right of the stream but the icon for the Album Label is on the Left of the song title/artist. I rather have the album icon on the right, text to the left of that
are there any others out there maybe ?
Does anyone here use The OBS teleport plugin? I tried it with and old laptop to dual PC stream. The old laptop and my gaming PC saw each other as they should, just that laptop wasn't up to the job at all. So set up another gaming rig I wasn't using, and for what ever reason the two PC's cannot see each other. Both hardwired into the same Router. Someone on the OBS forums was like, both machines have to be on the same multicast segment. I have no freaking clue what that means. LOL!
Hey guys, trying to figure out something using Noobs CMDR. How would I go about playing a sound any time that a key is pressed? I've added the audio file as a source in OBS and then tried triggering the audio file to play in noobs cmdr, but think I must be doing something wrong. Is this how it should work?
the new PC might have firewall enabled or network set to type "public" instead of private so it blocks more by default
yeah all firewalls are disabled on both PCs at the moment
Has anyone ever used OBS with Amazon chime?
I would use OBS NDI instead as it is designed for dual PC setups (for those not using capture cards)

Hi, apparently, my obs is crashing because of the plug-in, can someone help me pls ?
You need to reach out to the plugin developer. Their discord is linked in here:
To capture audio from selected applications only, similar to Discord, you can try the new OBS audio capture plugin (Windows 10 2004 and above only)
is there a overlay pluginn
Generally don't need a plug-in for that. Just a browser source.
Figured it out. Had a Wi-Fi router that was screwing it up. Took it out of the equation and worked amazingly well. Did a test stream and it was perfection
that's good to hear 🙂 I would still consider NDI. there are some concerns users have with performance of OBS Teleport. Until the author gets his plugin situated I would move to NDI
too many dual-pc setups i've seen are a waste of performance and quality, anytime there's a mention of ndi i usually assume the worst
I've seen people have problems with it, but I've used NDI several times in the past between 2 computers with no problems at all.
if i wanted free quality loss, i'd use something better than ndi
NDI is fine if you have a robust LAN to support it. It's hell if you don't.
What is better than NDI that works over a network?
And better in what specific ways?
I usually P2P SRT with low latency encoder + colour format I444
@quiet bramble depends on what counts as "better"
if you want lower latency, nvidia gamestream; if you want better quality, nvidia gamestream, srt or rist
Never heard of gamestream but I presume that's part of GeForce give us your personal info and log in Now. 🙂 Haven't tried SRT/RIST yet, on the list.
there's an open source nvidia gamestream server, called sunshine
(or you can jailbreak gfe and block all nvidia IPs via hosts file)
PITA
to some degree, yes
but it's also the lowest latency of any video streaming application i know of, approximately 2f, and it's even packet loss resilient to some degree
I'd easily pay 50 USD if there was a obs plug in manager, kept them up to date and made sure they all worked well togthet.
i'm afraid the development of a plugin manager would cost quite a bit more than that
Truth.
Just wishful thinking.
Cost time, I'm sure.
I could see it stretching so many avenues from the site, to each version and alot overall.
Plugin manager is high on our priority list, just didn't quite make it in time for v28.
That's good to hear. Not saying hurry it up or anything. Don't think that haha. I was gonna ask if you guys ever needed designers but no clue where/who I'd talk to regarding this.
We have an excess of designers, deficit of coders currently :p
developers for the plugin manager or in general?
Both really. Post v28 I'm going to be organizing and posting more bounties for work we want done, hopefully.
Thank you for your honesty @hard jay i love it.

Anyone here have any experience with win-capture-audio? If so, does it work well enough from your experiences to try it?
Just trying to get an idea before I download and install anything.
i've used it and it works fine for me. really no better way to find out than to download and use it yourself though.
I'm trying to build Win-Capture-Audio, but I'm not sure where to point it to for libobs - do I need to compile libobs from scratch?
Right now, I'm only streaming to Twitch and YouTube. Can someone walk me through setting up multiple RTMP Outputs with the Plug-In I've Installed?
yeah, I believe you will need to have a working OBS compiled
does OBS-27.2.4 use Qt5, while the main branch use Qt6?
Current branch can use either, but we're planning to migrate to qt6 for v28.
And yes 27.2.4 is qt5
Is there a Walkthrough for the "Multiple RTMP Outputs" Plugin?
for some reason I needed to specify the libcurl_imp.lib path
when configuring cmake for the 27.2.4 obs build
What platform?
Windows
I also have disabled the browser build, because I coudn't be bothered fixing it
and now it's building in VS 2017
I'd recommend using a clean build and just running the build script.
It does everything for you.
and I'd still be able to use that for libobs?
Instructions on how to install or build OBS Studio can be found here:
ah well, it's built now, I'll try that if things don't work here on in
For future reference then '.')b
well specifically https://obsproject.com/wiki/build-instructions-for-windows
Option A: Automatic Windows builds Automatic Windows builds allow building OBS with minimal input and setup. Necessary dependencies are installed automatically, build flags use …
after needing a quick submodule init, I've sucessfully built win-capture-audio
... except I can't find the dll
What exactly are you trying to do here?
bisect the commits to find out when surround sound audio was broken
found the dll, my eyes skipped over it when I looked in the right directory, was confused by all the artifacts that get generated.
ok, so I've copied the dll and the pdb to obs-plugins/64bit, but it's not letting me add a new win-capture-audio input when launching from the custom build's rundir
yes, just checking now
well, this is strange, I can't see it in the list of sources to add, but I can configure existing sources
Does anyone know a plugin I could use to make my microphone sound old?
Describe what do you mean by old. Do you mean "shitty"? "Bad frequency response"? "Crackling like an old 78rpm phonograph"? or something else? You can use equalizers and filters, noise generators, all kinds of effects to get various types of sounds that one might say are "old". But if you plug in a microphone from 60 years ago into a computer audio interface, it's not going to likely have any sound to it that one would say is "old". I would suggest that the concept of "old" refers more to the medium that an old audio recording was made on, such as wax cylinders, various materials used to make phonographs, cassette tapes and similar, much more than the sound of the microphone itself.
One might even think the sound of AM radio is "old" sound.
I mean like
Bad audio
But not earrape/unintelligible audio
Bad and a mix of 80s radio host sound
Can I have some help with a plugin (win-capture-audio)?
I'd use ReaEq and set up a bandpass filter, or low cut at 100Hz and high cut at 2500-3000Hz, probably also add a parametric bass boost and treble cut. Then use a tape hiss and/or vinyl dropout simulator VST of some sort (don't know of one, just google "free vinyl VST" etc.
What's happenin?
It's not showing up, and it never told me to install it into a particular folder
Which it said it'd do
Is there a way you could simplify this? Like put it into steps or something like that
Generally it should install to the default OBS directory. Exit OBS, Uninstall it from the Windows settings, and then reinstall from here: https://github.com/bozbez/win-capture-audio/releases/download/v2.2.2-beta/win-capture-audio-2.2.2-beta-setup.exe
About the only way I could simplify it is to suggest "search YouTube for 'how to use an EQ VST'" and "how to use a vinyl VST" and watch the tutorials that come up.
Older audio mechanisms sounded poorer than our modern audio does today because of frequency limitations, non-linear frequency response, various forms of distortion depending on the medium (heterodyne, wow and flutter, etc.), so reproducing that digitally is a matter of using effects that can reproduce similar constraints and noise. How to use any individual effect could be a 30 minute or 4 hour typing session. That's much better left to existing tutorials that are most likely out there. 🙂 Good luck!
I'm most likely just gonna download the plugins and experiment with them
Tysm
That worked, thank you
