I don't think there are any that give you true 3 seperate inputs simultaneously. And I don't know how windows handles things, but fancy zones on windows can't really break it up cleanly because of task bar, and not all games like to be moved into specific zones cleanly

I'd say it mostly depends on the complexity of the stuff, cause for smth with like transparency, or a lot of video layers, or complex effects, it's not abnormal it'd take a bit to render and encode, and it can appear frozen if it goes slower than the reporting thing granularity

the closest we got in that regard is IPS with oled as backlight, really
not actually self lit, but in terms of "lasts long"
those just be chonky ass LEDs (comparatively speaking, ya only need a monochrome matrix at that point and actually only one LED per pixel instead of having to worry abt subpixels too)

and ya can still adjust brightness per pixel with those

therefore what I am really interested in would be nanoled (if they end up calling it that, basically microled but small enough to use one per pixel instead of having zones) backlights and then combine that with a very good IPS

actually fully self lit displays that just last so long that the driver board ends up dying way before the panel starts to show wear just are eons out still, by a long shot, and those are very likely not gonna be OLEDs due to intrinsic issues with those based on them being, well, organic

the proposed hybrid setup would at least last for a longer time, but yes still not "driver board dies before panel starts to show wear"

unless ya artifically make the driver board only last like a year or two, of course :p

you also might not be able to get it running 100% correctly unless you've specifically made sure you've bought compatible hardware (or even get it running at all)

and you can only get support from hackintosh forums/discords/etc because none of it is general computing knowledge, it's all hyper specific and a matter of knowing exactly what drivers/settings/fixes/etc to apply

If you give 8K footage, but the viewers settings aren't set properly, it will fallback to vp9. The viewer has to set YouTube to ALWAYS Prefer AV1 Codec

If you are uploading local recordings, I suggest upscaling with Handbrake to 8k. It's the only way I've found to force it to give you that Codec.

1440p footage however is easier to upscale and upload. They look fine neough in VP9.

YouTube decided which codec you get, unless you force it like we're saying.

1. Install VB-Audio CABLE. (A reboot is not required)
2. In OBS Studio, go to Settings > Audio and select "CABLE Input" as your Monitoring Device

4. In Discord, in Voice & Video settings, select "CABLE Output" instead of your microphone under "Input device".

I watched an Adam Savage video that was quite interesting, where he spoke of a minor confict on Myth Busters between Jamie and his approach to solving a given problem with a relatively minor detail, and how it drove him nuts. But then he realized that he did not need to solve that problem, that he could let them go with Jamie's solution and it would work itself out one way or another over time. It turned out that he was right about the problem and Jamie was in fact wrong, and it caused inconvenience, but they did manage to get through the problem in the end.

It made me think about how many of us can become attached to solutions to problems like this, where another person or people are involved, but where the consequences of someone doing something the wrong way are not going to be devastating or problematic for us at all, or might only cause a minor inconvenience if anything, and that it probably wont cause them any major problem either, but if it does, it is their problem not ours.

It made me think also of how in our efforts to help people both in real life and online we can get stuck in this mindset of trying to force people to accept the potential wisdom we are giving and not shoot themselves in the foot, sometimes so strongly that we create a conflict where it didn't need to happen, and instead we should have just given advice and stood back and let them learn for themselves. Experiential learning is a powerful thing. And in cases like this it can avoid unnecessary potential conflict over trying to force someone into not making a mistake for example.

Let them make their mistake.

Chances are, it wont be that bad anyway.

This is a method of leadership we used when I was in the Military. You provide guidance and instruction on how something is done. If you see mistakes coming (that as you pointed out aren't life threatening, catastrophic in nature, etc.) you allow the person to proceed on. This teaches a few lessons. Mistakes can (and will) happen, processes and procedures are there for a reason, ask for help, etc. When a problem is encountered then offer help in the form of "how can we fix / correct this" and not "see.. I told you so". There are many lessons to be learned from those doing the task as well as leadership.

Stellaris can be played as an eco game to a degree, but it'll get stale without occasional combat. It does have PvE content, a lot of PvE content, frankly, but do expect some combat or the PvE-ness simply lacks mechanical purpose.

It's definitely not a city-builder, you are not going to be on a per-planet basis, carefully balancing delicate resources. In fact, if you try, you will absolutely ruin yourself economically. (Ask Sapiens how he knows. Guy barely had two planets while everyone else had like 20 because he refused to colonize any others until everything was super-perfect.)

If this sounds agreeable, then I do suggest poking Stellaris, but wait for it to go on sale; they run one basically every four months and sell the base game for under $20. They do this with literally every DLC release. (Treat those as if they're additional D&D campaigns, because that's basically what they are.)

You don't need to buy any DLC technically, but I do heavily suggest at least Utopia, for everyone, because without it there is almost literally no end-game content and you're basically playing a tech demo rather than a game at that point. I can make individual suggestions for the rest.

If you only plan to run one or two games and you're absolutely sure that scheduling will work, it can be worth it to buy the DLC subscription that just gives you literally all the DLC for $10/month and call it good after your 1-2 sessions, owo. That said, dear goodness, that skyrockets the complexity of the game; start with just the base game and Utopia or your head'll explode. <w<'
