Most OBS addons (plugins, filters, scripts, shaders) that are publicly available are listed in the OBS resource forum. You might also find custom shaders that were thrown into the Discord server over time by using Discord search at the top right and searching for "shader" or for file attachments. Other than that, there may be shaderes disorganized across the web on github or some person's website that you can find by searching Google and getting lucky.

Beyond that, there are tonnes of other shaders available online on websites like Shadertoy, glsandbox, Shaderhow and others, most of which are written in GLSL for WebGL, and tonnes of other shaders available on github and other sites which were made for other software such as Reshade, unreal engine, unity or other stuff, all of which can be potentially converted to run in OBS by someone who understands shader programming.

It previews for me fine in Firefox here. But Discord typically re-encodes images to a more compressed format for embedding in the client unless you click on it and open in browser. So any time someone shares an image with me through Discord for doing image work, I always open it in Firefox first to get the original.

Most likely, this isn't an HDR display. I misread you above as thinking Firefox can't display the image at all, but it seems you meant it can't display it in proper HDR. I have HDR monitors but not wired up ATM. I haven't really got into the whole HDR thing yet because years ago I got a high end pro display with HDR, and didn't use it in HDR as I didn't buy it for that. One day I decided to enable HDR in Windows just to try it out, and the computer rebooted instantly. I haven't tried out HDR since.

Figured I'd wait until there was enough stuff using it and it became stable and reliable, and didn't have performance tradeoffs that kill performance in games and whatnot. 🙂

No, that's not obvious. If a server disappears, it could be you getting kicked or banned, or the server being deleted by its owner or by Discord, or it could be something else we don't know about. You'd have to have been to a number of internet chats to know kicking is even a thing, there's no way you'd figure it out on your own. As such, many server owners use mutes instead.

I wasn't impressed with steelseries arctic sound either.

My only conclusion is you just can't do proper sound on wireless - but I don't know enough about it to state that as factual.

Only headset that I've ever wore that felt like a cloud on my head, had super good and roomy sound was the seenheiser 363 series, or 373d - 37x, 38x

We moved in about three years ago, and there are few things that were here already. Some sort of grasses on the front slope, a rhododendron that could be wild. Am very proud of nuturing that thing into better health. There is a small thicket of Nootka rose I've been working on getting thriving too. Going to make it climb the mesh fence my neighbors put in last year.

And all the ferns you saw in my pic, I "planted" by scattering crushed dead leaves from an established fern. They're taking over haha

in addition to the above it's because it uses the video's chroma (colour) information to create a key (alpha mask)

you can also use a luma key which does the same but based on the image luma (brightness) info, usually to remove black backgrounds

though tbh why we call an alpha channel a "key" in video is not something I can tell you

though I suspect it just predates computer alpha channels

Interesting, I kind of wondered as well since every algorithm I've ever seen for doing it never seemed to ever look at the chroma, but of the RGB values or of the hue. It technically should probably be called Hue Keying. 🙂
