Not for me lol. I've been using revision os for a while now. It's the best one IMO cuz it gives you the optimization without going too deep and cutting out too many necessary things. You can install updates over it manually which just ends up undoing what it does so you just rerun their playbook to reapply the optimizations.
I manually upgrade Windows 11 using official ISO every major revision (twice a year) then run the newest playbook (after first making sure there's an update to it)

Ms store and whatnot are all still in tact.
It will disable defender and hide Windows update from settings and also pausing updates initially but you can re enable defender and unhide updates in the tool they install to the desktop

SB can use a “bot account” and runs locally. I like to tinker around and make my own stuff, so having alerts triggered locally direct from twitch is great. The integration with channel points etc is great. Most bots now have full Channel point integration - creating, editing, enable/disable according to internal logic. It’s all pretty cool.

What I have done with my Linux install, I used a updated version of Rufus becuz I used a old version, did system updates first before driver installs, then I did the drivers, installed the System Image of Steam, turned off Vulkan Shader Processing and then switched to Proton 8

The flatpak version of Steam takes years to start up

Now I am waiting for Linux Mint 22 for PipeWire and the ability to remove all but the English Language for a more lighter install

Even if your monitor is 1080p, on YouTube you're better off upscaling to 1440p or 4k if you can't do it natively, because YouTube transcodes all video uploaded and never shows the source material, and they severely downgrade 1080p and lower video to super bad bitrates that result in severe compression artifacts, however at 1440p and above they use better codecs with higher bitrates which give smooth high quality video. When they transcode it down to lower resolutions they also use higher bitrates so you end up with 1080p video upscaled to 1440p, downscaled back to 1080p which looks better than if you had just uploaded 1080p.

You just go in OBS encoder settings and enable upscaling and set it to 1440p, then crank up the bitrate to a high enough value for the resolution/framerate the upscale resolution is. In general, this should be no more than half of your ISP's maximum upload bandwidth (without testing higher percentages).

It is better to set the upscaling in the streaming encoder settings. IIRC it is done on the GPU in there, but done on the CPU in the Video section, unless that has changed over time.

Also, if you use different streaming versus recording settings, Video will apply to both, while the encoder setting only applies to the particular encode.
