From what I've been seeing.... All the services don't say "no". They even thinking about not requiring a High School Diploma or GED

🙂 My father, brother and Uncle were AF. My grandfathers were Army. I had a great uncle who was USN. I went into the Navy because they were the only ones who would guarantee the field I wanted.

BCT is just the VERY basics..... I went through it. Got more training from some of the alternative deployments I did

Each branch has it's good and bads. Some are an "easier ride" but advancement is slow, others it's hit and miss and some -- life sux a lot (on duty and off) but you do advance pretty well.

I honestly wish there was a way for people to contact and speak with people in the field they want to get into in the military. Would make the decision easier for people. It's not like you can walk up to the gate on a military base and say "Hey.. I'd like to talk to someone who does ________ job" 🙂

Some schools / colleges do have "job fairs" where you can talk to people that ARE NOT RECRUITERS and get a feel for what life is like.

I did 20 yrs in the Navy and only did 7 months on a ship 🙂

I know i actually am thinking to migrate from Roll20 has insane issues these days

I had one table i ran my Call of Cthulhu sessions for years its a massive world at this point

And i cant really move it properly to foundry thats the only thing that is keeping me in there

Since i had all the settings on one table... I couldnt do that myself had to ask support because my table is too big at this point.

well it does charge at 700-740mA measured via ampere from the pc, so about the 900mA output with a 3.1 usb-c to usb-c cable off the MB, so you were right

now if only this cable wasn't stiff enough to lift a 30cm length of itself off the table when laying down by itself..

yee, 700-740mA in ampere checks out as the phone parts need to be powered as well in order to show you that readout in the first place. And ye, 3.x cables be thiccer. especially if what you got when ya said 3.1 c to c is actually a cable that you could use for tb purposes too

The number of unlocks/microtransactions is insane but the game itself is pretty cool if you ignore all of that

interference is probably the main reason why I'd bother with external sound cards. it's usually not noticeable with the less sensitive headphones I've got, but when I plug my noise cancelling headphones in the interference from my GPU is very noticeable

those presets don't seem very accurate either, as it just sets a max bitrate and then it's on you to keep your video under that length

Graphics designed for 8-bit or 16-bit consoles don't stand out when playing on such consoles (or emulating them), but they will stand out if you mod them into a "modern" game.

pretty sure in Palworld, if you enable DLSS and set "anti-aliasing" to off, it will scale without any temporal algorithm.. if you enable TAA and then turn on DLSS, it'll scale with TAA.. and if you enable TSR and turn on DLSS, it'll scale and run DLSS
so setting to TSR and turning DLSS... is the only setting that actually turns on DLSS
well, I didn't test FXAA..
