• Is the tournament going to be focused on Turf War or the Ranked Modes?
• Do you need a high X Power to be accepted into the tournament? (Reason is I reached a peak of 2300XP last season but haven't touched it once this season because I hate it)

and no you dont need high x power. everyone can play in this event even if you only got splatoon yesterday

• is there any general time when matches would happen? I kinda already had eggstra work plans with some friends of mine, and I only just found out about this tournament, which does sound kinda fun. So just to see if I'll be able to plan around it.
• if I do sign up, about my rank. I think this is a bit of a unique situation (and weird), but while I'm C- rank in Splatoon 3, I did play in a team in splatoon 2, have an X rank, and still play Splatoon 1 A+ rank today. A bit of a weird mix of things, so is just saying that I'm C- enough? 😅

I was fighting S rank players. I'm just the one on my team to usually get stupid kills, a lot of kills or both. XD

Stamper really lets me think of how to approach my enemies if I want to, but also just have the chainsaw sword go brrr if I don't feel like using brain power. ^-^

Because you are CONSTANTLY changing playstyles, no one weapon has a predetermined playstyle

Most notably, there is no such thing as JUST a slayer or JUST a skirmisher

I see so many people refer to Splattershot as just a slayer or Splatana Wiper as just a skirmisher, despite the fact they use both playstyles equally

That's all, rant over

I mean, it's not a big deal or anything, and I get why the question exists, I just don't like slayer and skirmisher being separate options since that implies some weapons only use one playstyle, which is just false

I'm just gonna put support cos I can kinda distract an enemy team

so in the game of splatoon, there are community-made "roles" a person can play

those roles switch alot in games, but some people like to group weapons in with roles

those roles are
Skrimisher: the person in this role starts pushes for teamates, engages in fights, and is generally a distraction for the enemy team
Slayer: the person in this role tries to capitalize off the skrimisher's pushes and distractions, getting essentially free kills off the enemy team
Utility/support: this role is usually reserved for nuetral game. The person in this role's job is to get special ready as soon as possible for the next push. This is the least influential role
Anchor: the person in this role's job is to get as much value as possible while being safe. This is generally reserved for longer ranged weapons, but is usually played when most of the team goes down

the thing thijmen is concerned about when asking that question is being sure not to pair 2 or more of the same type of weapon on the same team

Slayer: usually weapons that play a decent bit away from their opponents like vanilla splattershot, .52 gal, and splattershot pro
Skrimisher: weapons that play very aggro like rollers and splatanas
(slayer and skrimisher are very interchangable)
support: support is very a very vauge role group, but whenever people say they play support, they usually mean they play weapons that get special a whole lot or try to play arround their special, usually weapons like nzap, arrospray, and reflux
anchor: "backline" weapons like chargers and long range splatlings that play it safe

i dont like grouping weapons like this but so many people do it

Screw it, here's a new sub weapon idea: The Splatterang

• Designed like a boomerang
• When thrown, it shoots forward with the same shot velocity and distance as Blaster, but a thinner paint trail
• After the Splatterang reaches its effective range, it lingers and spins in place, spraying ink all around it (similar to a Sprinkler but way faster). On top of that, after 3/4ths of a second, the Splatterang will spin so fast that it will deal 30 damage to anyone who goes near it
• Returns to the player after 2 seconds or when the R button is pressed again (the sub has to have lingered for 1/2 of a second before you're allowed to retract it)
• Deals 50 damage on impact when thrown forward or retracted
• Costs 65% of an ink tank
