There are too many components that serve the exact same purpose and/or get outshined by another of the same kind. Some having a niche use is fine, if it has an angle it can be useful/strong in. Some don't make sense even thematically. Idea is that quality > quantity.

Will briefly give some comments

#

1. Artemis Bowstring is objectively worse than Bow of Apollo.

You get 90% Pierce damage from Apollo, and 8% Crit, not only is bow of Apollo better in every bow damage type, it’s better than Pierce which is artemis is trying to be the premium relic for

OLD
Artemis' Bowstring```
Stats
• 20/40/60% increased Pierce Damage
• 3/6/9% increased Attack Speed
Completion Bonus
20% increased Rage Effect

Bow of Apollo```
Stats
• 15/30/45% increased Ranged Attack Damage
• 15/30/45% increased Projectile Damage
Completion Bonus
20% increased Projectile Penetration
8% Projectile Critical Hit chance```

**NEW**
Artemis' Bowstring```
Stats
• 20/40/60% increased Pierce Damage
• 6/9/12% increased Attack Speed
Completion Bonus
30% Weapon Penetration

Bow of Apollo Stats • 30/45/90% increased Projectile Damage Completion Bonus 100% increased Projectile Penetration

Comment:
|| Now we have a Relic which is more suited to be chosen by a Pierce bow build, and one that is a bit all purpose, but not strictly better at Artemis for what it tries to do, but the standardisation of Projectile Damage and removal of Ranged Attack Damage means it has a good niche case for being used in Ice Shards. ||

2. Core Identity makes no sense

OLD
Valor of Achilles```
Stats
• 15/30/45% increased Lightning Damage
• 3/6/9% increased Base Weapon Lightning Damage
• -20% Lightning Resistance
Completion Bonus
+0.6 Lightning Weapon Damage per Level
Convert 35% of Weapon Damage to Lightning

Can Enchant: All Weapons

NEW
Valor of Achilles```
Stats
• 15/30/45% increased Pierce Damage
• 3/6/9% increased Base Weapon Pierce Damage
• -20% Glancing Projectile Hit Damage Reduction
Completion Bonus
+0.6 Pierce Weapon Damage per Level
Convert 35% of Weapon Damage to Pierce

Can Enchant: Spear

Comment:
||
Kept it more faithful to the Greek Iliad. Achilles uses the spear of Pelesus. He was defeated by an arrow to his heel.

Removed Zeus like stats from Valor of Achilles. Changed to follow conventional stat lines of same types, but Pierce version, with negative being reduced damage reduction from Glancing Projectiles

Changed weapon requirement to only Spear. Why only spear? If we extend it to All weapons, it directly competes on bow slot with the now aforementioned Apollo and Artemis relics, being distinctively better (for Pierce Ranged Attack), it would be better in all cases than Artemis, which we’re trying to fix.

Can also be extended to work with Swords, but Spears are the weakest weapon type in the game right now, so giving them this exclusivity is a step in the right direction. A spear is usually 70% Pierce 30% strike or 50% Pierce 50% elemental, so this would give them basically full conversion.

3. Relics that take up the limited x/3 cap, but just aren’t impactful to warrant using it as a permanent relic, aside from scarcity rather than viability

OLD
Hermes' Sandal```
Stats
• 3/6/9% increased Movement Speed
• +8/16/24 Agility
Completion Bonus
+1 Dodge Cooldown Charge
10% increased Movement Skill Cooldown Rate

**NEW**
Hermes' Sandal```
Stats
• 3/6/9% increased Movement Speed
• +8/16/24 Agility
Completion Bonus
+2 Capacity to Movement Skills
15% increased Movement Skill Cooldown Rate

Comment:
|| Gives +1 dodge charge with the +2 capacity basically for the core skill, but also gives other skills more utility/damage.

  1. Some slight balance changes across the board to decent/already good relics

OLD
Anvil of Hephaistos```
Stats
• 15/40/45% increased Area Damage
• 4/8/12% increased Base Weapon Damage
• -10% reduced Movement Speed (in-combat only)
Completion Bonus
10% Weapon Penetration

**NEW**
Anvil of Hephaistos```
Stats
• 15/40/45% increased Area Damage
• 4/8/12% increased Base Weapon Damage
• -10% reduced Movement Speed (in-combat only)
Completion Bonus
Enemies within 6m get -3% Fire Resistance and Armor Value every second. Stacks up to 8 times. Maximum is -24%.

Comment:
|| Stacks keep getting refreshed/stacked like Doom, only when you fail to apply a debuff stack (like from being out of range) does it all fall off - works exactly like Weakening Heat from Ring of Flame. But only for Fire and Phys. The stats of this relic are already targeted for the Sweeping Strikes - whirlwind and to a lesser/worse degree Rain of Arrows. Supports the channelling style of damage ramping up, with both the rage and debuff, instead of small bursts. New bonus incentivises a fire WW playstyle with battlemage, where you use Weakening Heat + Anvil of Hephaistos + Helios' Sun Crown. The relic also has some lesser potential for Bastion WW. ||

OLD
Rage of Ares```
Stats
• 20/40/60% increased Strike Damage
• 20/40/60% increased Pierce Damage
• +2/4/6% Critical Hit Chance
• 15% less Armor
Completion Bonus
Kill grants you and Summons 3% Speed for 10s (stacks 5x)

**NEW**
Rage of Ares```
Stats
• 15/30/45% increased Strike Damage
• 15/30/45% increased Pierce Damage
• 15% less Armor
Completion Bonus
+4 to Rage Passive Skills

Comment:
||This thing has two overly powerful stats on it, and does not even compete with Weapon slot. It's BIS for any Physical build. It's also a good opportunity to make this thing based about Rage, after you nerfed Rage hard, it would help out. ||

"Capacity" to rage passives ?

I assume you meant levels

otherwise pretty good ideas across the board

Yes I’ll fix that

I indeed use some "bad" relics only because I have no other relics completed. At one point when I will get 1 or 2 complete of each relics there are some I would never use again
