So after completing all the content it in just two sessions, my overall opinion and rating of the game is, its a stellar successor to titan quest. Rating 8.2/10 <--- this is bound to rise and never get lower when newer content is added!

Im pleased with this game in many many ways but ill start of with my negatives/complaints/neutral opinions first on my experience.

Firstly i love the variety of the gear and many ways to acquire new gear but i have to say progressing and getting new gear it was hard for me to ever notice a major difference and really all the gear upgrades i acquired really did feel incremental improvements and only really felt major improvements or noticeable differences when i actually levelled my skills/passives.

It honestly felt like gear just felt like a stat number increase where as my power only grew really with the passives/abilities.

I don't necessarily mind this but in a heavy loot driven game especially in the original titles i always felt gear was such a big step when you got a nice blue or a weapon that could buff you up stats wise to flavour to abilities and passives. So my main complaint there is i felt that gear felt way too short of improvement/power level to the character in comparison to levelling passives and abilities.

!SPOILER WARNING!
Another gripe (I KNOW ITS EARLY ACCESS this is just nit picking)
The game ends when you speak to the three fates, really good ending point, but i felt heavily that the final "Boss" that you fight didn't even feel like the previous "arena" boss fights. You get a material to allow you to re-fight him (im talking about the enemy boss you kill just before seeing the fates) but he really didn't feel like an arena fight he felt much weaker in comparison to the sea horse boss, the gryphon, Pan or even the undead guy in the cemetery.

as i said, i am just nitpicking but i really felt like that boss just felt like the undead warlock that you cant stumble across or just felt like some open world boss that's like not even as high as a mini boss. I would've liked a proper fight maybe with the spartan guy? or maybe an encounter with nemesis. but yeah either way, nit picking but the boss really felt underwhelming compared to the other boss fights that are worthy to be repeatable.

My final negative/neutral opinion is i felt like the masteries lacked in the synergy (I know again its early access and the combined abilities aren't in the game yet i get this so i understand) yeah i felt like there was hardly anything that was spread across both my masteries that i picked where i felt like yes this gives me a good synergy feel. Instead i feel like, you just get two masteries allowing you to access other abilities and passives of another class, i know thats all they are but even in titan quest the originals there was definable synergies that collided both masteries together even before you got your duo abilities.

For context, i chose Rogue/Storm so i was a stormweaver/storm caller, but yeah i just felt like i was main rogue and only invested one ability from the storm tree and some of the passives to help with barrier. All it really did investing into the storm tree was giving me a lightning spell to add in my rotation allowing me some rage just for incremental DPS. I hope in the future there is some proper synergies i only suggest like maybe, if you manage to proc PLAGUE it had a chance to strike lightning bolts in a 3m radius or something (just an example) But ill sit tight and wait for the upcoming content patches.
