the rods look weird without anything else in the reactor, also aside from the light and the alarms, there is nothing visually going on inside the core to signify issues
the flames shooting out of the side ports look a little... odd? it may be a combo of placement and the fact it feels slow, try speeding up the speed and adding some variation in
where it shoots out, is this particles or beams?
SFX overall is lovely, love the glass effects and the leaks! however the leaking steam effect could be improved by using flipbook particles and increasing the amount, fiddle with size adjustment, transparency, and lifetime
to achieve a more natural steam burst effect.
the glass cracking looks fantastic, but the change from it to shards is a little jarring. any chance you can have the crack grow slowly from a point that is leaking already? (like actual glass, it would spiderweb out)
the inclusion of a weird explosion sfx inside is odd, is this to break the glass..?
the steam effects (?) after it breaks needs some tweaking, maybe add some classy Cherenkov radiation? beef up how many particles there is? (i just now saw there is some blue particles but they should be a lot bigger and brighter, and maybe use the brightness effect on particles?
I feel like some damaged bits to the rods themselves could go a LONG way
in the chamber, maybe add water and add boiling / bubbles as it heats up?
the existing blue effect clips thru the rods jarringly too
I really like the SFX, did I say that already?

- side note, using frame event handlers isn't that performance intensive unless you're doing complex calculations

How did you do the tape/lines around the thing? just a line then a skin modifier?

shrinkwrap didnt really work, so what most of us did was extruded a plane roughly around it, bevel the edges where corners are, then just mess with it a bit to make it nice
doesnt have to be absolutely perfect so dont stress too much
cool, i'm asking more for the future in case I ever model something like cage lights.
I'd assume I can use that method too
i would just take plane and solidify modifier then move it around until it looks good then just. apply modifier then mess with it a bit more
