the fact the hinges are so small makes them seem unmotorised which in turn breaks the illusion

@jagged grotto hello audio man do you happen to know anything about reverb? im trying to replicate this specific soundscape. the properties i have are below (they're the new API so they're different from what you may know). if needed, I can create a wet signal too using any of the other audio effects
i feel like it's a frequency issue but i dont know that much about audio post processing
I'd say there's more lower frequencies in your version (so wet), so I would recommend turning the wet down a little bit and maybe ever so slightly turn up the dry? And then a little tiny bit more reverb might help (if you're using a reverbEffect that is)

im unsure if this is of your interests but there is a plugin i use to make ropes that i suppose is optimized? (which is instead made out of parts, so kinda like just a collection of parts to shape like a rope that you can just click from one area to another and set the amount of parts, in this case i set it to 5 so it kinda look sharp)
Since its also made out of parts, you can change its color and materials
its not a full blown mesh or constraint like the one inside roblox by default but its really great if you want to make a quick rope for your scenes
the plugin in question is Oozle Draw Modified by Quenty
or just use blender
that too but i understand if some people don't know blender or not experienced with it
i even to this day havent figure out how to properly make a good looking wire or rope for a scene (i know how to model a very basic one, just unsure how to predict it or plan it to fit well in some of the scene for my games)
unless if its a basic linear wire and nothing too fancy (i.e, curves, physically "interacting" with objects like resting on stuff)

unfortunately its no longer maintained and your presets dont save, but theres probably a fork somewhere

then all of them have their own sounds for all materials we use in the game

Really smart use of highlights
I made a blender sphere with inside normals and welded it to the HRP, the game will be singleplayer anyways since it's a story game about a supertrained spy
Also for the sake of my brain I just made a script to make every part in the workspace highlighted so I can build like a normal person

one of the enemies in my game is blind
this sparks some ideas for multiplayer...
In my game every noise will create a highlight around the object / enemy making noise, giving the player their position through walls and obstacles
Also there will be a skill tree to make the sphere bigger and the hearing range larger
apart from rope constraints which i learned are unoptimized, whats the best way to make ropes in studio? (i made rope models in blender but i want them to be customizable instead of having to import my whole map and make wires)

I know in moon animator you can freeze the character your animating at a certain frame, aka pose them, and i think you should be able to do the same with the rope.
no, you can just modify the bones without an animation editor
you can also use studio's export feature to bake the pose to save resources afaik

Kaden fixed it by disabling the type solver beta
if that doesn't work, try seeing if the output has anything useful
Disabled it and the output wasn't useful.....
