You did a really good job at implementing aspects, but there are primal features and methodology you're missing:
- Flat walls are boring walls, you have created a very cubic room, it's simple but doesn't have much appeal do to the essential shape being rather basic, if you looked at our approach, we introduce aspects to break the surface continuity and add depth such as pillars, higher wall extrusions, or just pulling the ceiling up and playing with its depth at different levels.
- Don't be ambitious about spacing, notice how you left the chair rows sort of isolated in the center, surrounded by very empty space, you can't fill it with more chairs as that'd look too extreme for a waiting room or simply because players don't fit, and so it's important to accomodate the room for a correct space between elements. Players need room to navigate but too much makes them distant from the immersion.
- Dead ends don't have replayability, I know this is a test and didn't have such a large scope, but I think it's important to note that rooms with only one access are seen once and left off. Players rarely go to a specific room to simply contemplate it, they use it either for gameplay or for moving to another room; and I think that's a factor you need to add in to your interpretations: imagining how it'd be used, where would an exit be, and implementing it, playing around to see how it fits with the rest of the puzzle.
Now, the important part is factoring these aspects, blending them for maximum benefits; so for this specific room I'd suggest you add perhaps pillars between the couches, raise a central portion of the ceiling to who knows, maybe experiment with a big skylight, and if we're raising the roof only over there let's enhance that contrast and lowe the floor maybe one or two steps, that'll help with the spacing issue; and perhaps take one of the plain wall segments, indent it and implement a doorway, to get a sense of how it'd work out on cases like that.
That's basically my thought process for improving things like that, if it helps you

Creating environments isn't just properly implementing a style and implementing its features, it's playing with visuals, juggling opposite aspects and balancing detail
The very essence of what a room is can be much more important than people think, it's why it's difficult to see simple designs like cubic rooms in videogames, it's something basic that doesn't help convey a message

i really needed an outfit for the canonical enemy of my group
i've been trying out various outfits the past 2 weeks or so for reference
I decided that the clothes should just be the base layer, and armour and such could just be accessories
so it wasn't that complicated
just had to get the dark camo
to make it, I literally just drew up a looping camo pattern, used that everywhere, and used a fabric texture from the internet

im trying to make a command system where each command including rank check is handled in a seperate script
how can i make it so the second script knows what player chatted and get it's rank using CommandUser?
(if you want a simpler system there's a widely used module called Cmdr that does what you're doing)
anyway, you can use game:GetService("Players")[CommandUser.Value]
that'll return the player object
you can get its rank using Player:GetRankInGroup(1234567) with the proper group ID

i have a lot of trouble with lighting myself, its very finicky to get right

those lighting effects that you can add you should generally go pretty light on
blur, color correction, bloom
dont use too much of it
only vary it away from stock ever so slightly

Recently I found that if you use a color correction and turn up the saturation a tiny bit (I think) it makes the colors pop a little more instead of it looking dull

If you want to Import a bunch of props that have seperate pieces without having to group them, Export them as an .fbx
then in roblox open the asset manager in view, click this, import them, but only check the first box, select them all, right click and insert with location

- avoid italic or oblique typefaces for normal text at all costs, they make text harder to read
- some areas could have better contrast (esp. faded text, some of it is hard to read)
- space to skip seems to easy to do, the current system to skip is much better
for future reference

what are you doing right now?
what i've seen many gun systems do, is attach a particle emitter to the barrel, and change the transparency very quickly. you can also try doing that with a pointlight to give that extra detail
using ParticleEmitter:Emit() is too slow
yeah it's a particle emitter, but it's locked to one axis

how does your current muzzle flash work
the flash is just done with :Emit(1), and locked on its axis. transparency and size are both sequences
dont use emit. its pretty slow, just set the transparency to 1 and then 0 quickly

(you might have to change the particle emitter to get it looking like a billboard gui)

The purpose of doing meshes is to get high quality props, while also being low poly, and having to copy and paste them everywhere
