I'm new and I got the game and opened it, then I clicked new world and I saw I had to make a title so i clicked it and it took me back to the main menu. So I went back an I was able to type In a world name but when I hit create world it took me back to the main menu. In settings & info I can click on it and the specific setting like audio but then it takes me back to the main menu. If anyone could help that would be amazing!

Have you got some program running that rebinds keys that is making it press escape? Hotkey stuff
Or did you rebind the escape button in-game? Iirc you can currently rebind escape to a mouse click, which is quite unfortunate
In that case, you can try resetting the client settings by deleting the "colony survival/gamedata/savegames/client.json" file in the installation folder
