Me and my two friends yesterday tried to play on private server. My friend started server via colonyserver and when i connected, it start lagging (sometimes i can't build or break blocks, sometimes i can't see other players (they just randomly disapear)). I don't know what to do. Me and my friends have decent computers. Paradox is, that one my friend have worse internet than me and he can break/build blocks he see other players, ... I tried check our ticks per second value (/tps) and all of us had same value (around 29,XXX). Thank you for any response.

what kind of internet speeds do you guys have? does the one with the highest upload host?
does the problem resolve itself when terrain is fully loaded? (which can take a while on a slower upload server & max view distance)
I have something around 50 download and 5 upload. Yes, the one with highest upload host (he has much better internet than me). We tried to wait, but i'm still lagging. How much do you think we must wait to fully load? And we also tried some public server and on this server i didn't have any problems.
is there a possibility of some VPN or firewall interfering?
5 up should generally be enough, so if it's better than that it's fine
if you press F5 twice it'll show this value
estimated ping
and what vaules should be there?
I am sorry, now we are not on server right now. So i can try it later today.
~20 to ~200 depending on how far away you live from eachother?
i tried it, and it show me minimum 47 and last jumping between 80 and 10000
is there any option how i can lower that ping?
so, rereading your first post
while you are having these issues, the other friend (non-host) can play OK ?
sounds like funny business somewhere on "the internet" between you and the host causing packet loss or something
could see if it works if you host, or if the problem then reverses
reverses
if you host, it works fine for you & the third friend, but the original host now has severe network lag?
yes
😅
could try rebooting your modem/router or something, but I'm not giving it a lot of hope
okay
