As you can imagine, the build was not the easiest.
Today, I've received a NVIDIA RTX 3090 Founders Edition (second hand). For a long time, I've wanted (again) to build in the FormD T1 with this particular GPU. Here are the specs :
CPU : AMD Ryzen 5 7500F
MB : ASRock B650I Lightning WiFi
Cooler : Thermalright AXP90-47
RAM : Crucial Pro Overclocking DDR5-6000 C36 2x16GB
Fans : 2 x Noctua NF-A12x25 PWM chromax.black.swap
Storage : Crucial P3 Plus 1TB
WiFi/Bluetooth card : original card swapped for an Intel AX210NGW
**PSU : Corsair SF750 (2024)
Case : FormD T1 V2.1 Titanium
I had a Founders Edition in the past but unfortunately, the PCB burnt... So that was the moment to buy one ! I had to disassemble the whole case to mount this "thicc" boy. Pretty happy with the results : especially with the cable management. Not the best and it needs improvement. I think that I will invest in some custom cables at some point. The card is repasted with Arctic MX-6 paste and Thermalright Odyssey thermal pads (even on the back chips). It's very quiet and cool (around 63C in 4K gaming).
To mount the AXP90-47 on this AM5 MB, I bought some M2.5 nuts. It's not very loud despite the fan being 1mm away from the side pannel. Using a hairdryer, I removed the Thermalright sticker on the 92mm fan. I didn't invest in a Noctua one because it's still expensive (more expensive than the cooler itself) in France.
The Ryzen 5 7500F is a great CPU for its price even if I can see some bottleneck with the RTX. I put a -20 all-core PBO and voilà ! It's hovering around 75C in War Thunder (4K Ultra, SSAA off).
The city in the background is Lyon (France) with a cloudy weather ! The picture is taken from the "5ème arrondissement" near the basilica Notre-Dame de Fourvière.
Last pic : when I was using a ZOTAC RTX 4070 Ti SUPER Trinity OC White Edition.
