if razer made an omnil-linear switch i think is the right term i'd scoop it up in a heart beat. like the apex pro that you can adjust the actuation point of the switches on the bord via the led screen

@polar coyote rly depends on personal preference. I always go for full size because i can protect my insanely big keyboard and at the same time have enough room for my mouse as I play fps games and with low sensitivity

i switched from the chroma to the Razer Gigantus v2 xxl. personally i like the giantus better, yes it doesnt have rgb but i love how it has thick foam so it absorbs some sound and feels great for long gaming sesh

@polar coyote deathadder isn’t really a first choice by many gamers for fps bc it’s slightly heavy and ergonomic but I use it and it’s super comfortable. If you want a good mouse for fps, try the model o, gpw, or the viper

#

As for keyboards that are good for gaming and typing, get a keyboard with a clicky or tactile switch bc linears are pretty hard to type on being that they are sensitive and have no tactile bump

The purples are clicky switches like the razer greens. And the reds are linear, have a lower actuations point and in theroy they should be quieter. Basically the purples are better for gaming & daily use. Where the reds are more geard towards just gaming. @alpine carbon

@glossy parrot the problem i had with the grip tape. After a few months they started to get less sticky and peeling up. Honestly on the basklsk ultimate. I only have it left on the right click. It feels great with the reat of the mouse being non gripped

Does anybody have any tips for debugging mouse connectivity when it just doesn't work period?
I haven't checked the mouse in question in a while, but it's a Mamba (wireless), and it just... idk

Doesn't seem to work on Windows or Linux, and I cannot remember if it showed up with udevadm monitor or dmesg. Will check once I do this other thing and find the cable for it....

Alright, checking the Mamba (wireless) that's acting up
It connects, lights up, shows up in dmesg, etc.
Mouse buttons work but movement does not lol

Tried resetting surface calibration but that doesn't seem to have an effect
Could try cleaning the sensor again but 🤷‍♂️

Hi, the Razer Viper Ultimate's default RGB profiles are mostly pointless/battery wasteful for the most part (always on, on while using, etc.). Is there a way I can make it so the RGB turns on specifically when not using the mouse and having it turn off when using it, obviously masking the RGB icon with my hand?

No point in having it on while actively using it, meanwhile in idle (for say about 5 minutes, then off) makes a lot more sense to actually have it on while you see it. But I'm unsure of how to do this or if is it possible (which imo, it should be somehow)

I finally got my razer ornata chroma keyboard, and it's fantastic, I really like the sound it makes and all the lighting effects it has, not to mention that wrist rest that is very very comfortable
