@everyone sorry for sounding dumb, but i am new to this streaming stuff and when i use discord while streaming. on my VOD playback it seems to echo a lot. any and all advice is welcome
turn one of the mic off
let the the streaming mic on and mute the others @slate trout
this might sound stupid but will the others in the discord call still here me
What config?
Any good suggestions for a USB wireless adaptor? My WiFi card broke and I can’t use the spare PCIE slot anymore
😦
anybody knows what parts i should use for a low budget pc around -$400 AU? Thanks
That is a pretty small budget. You could go with a Vega Ryzen though you'll be stuck with intergrated graphics though it's the cheapest option for a "decent" machine. Best would be to wait and save up a little but if you want to get parts now i'd go for a Ryzen 1600AF and possibly a RX580 or 570 depending on the price. @dreamy heart
@chilly ibex thanks bro
No problem
@paper nebula what monitor do you have?
@frank crane Samsung 49" 144hz 1ms gaming monitor
3840x1080 res since 1440p wasn't out yet back then and I bought that as soon as it launched
And custom build ofc
It's like 800€/$ now
ik but i cant afford any type of setup now
Price has come down 200€ atleast in Finland
i hate it
Oh okay
uea
i really want one but i have to wait like another yr😭
Good thing that I got that when I had an opportunity for it
im gonna try to sell art to help me
I actually wish I could do something like that too but yeah training would be the thing for it
yea
E.A Creates
i havent uploaded in a while
im goin to start animation
so its a hard transition
What is going on here
nothing just a conversation
Oh okay I got chu, I'll look u up!
Thanks!😄
can i join
yea sure
so what is it on
Sure but u think we got out of tech talk xD so we should change chat I think
Okay
go to general
Sure
any good looking cpu case
ya
Tf is a cpu case
a case for ur cpu duhh
you always take it out when ur not using it
smh this is basic pc knowledge
nah he meant pc case
@polar lodge if you are on about pc cases then have a look at nzxt cases
“CPU case” lmao
okay @acoustic trout
So on the discord website it says I'm muted, when I try unmute myself a dark screen pops up for a second, it's the screen to ask you to give discord mic perms but it doesn't show the words or the thing to give the perms, I have already given discord perms for my mic, this all happened after I installed voicemod which I have now deleted, does any one know how I can get unmuted
Change your Input device from Windows and put it as default in DC
And yeah Voicemod is little nitpicky and likes to mess with stuff, I bought the pro version and don't want to uninstall it
I'm thankful I don't need Voicemod since I've got a TC Helicon GoXLR
@charred ice I'll look that up coz in interested
Well, the ATEM Mini Pro is a gamechanger. it has a dedicated encoder in it, and it can be customised using XML to create custom outputs 😄
I had an LED fan in my PC but I had to send in my PC to a shop to have some malware removed, The fan no longer lights up and it’s in a different Motherboard Header
I forgot where it was connected but it’s currently plugged into the “SYS_FAN1” slot
This is what the RGB headers look like in the back of my case
hey so i recently got a razer seiren x microphone and im not able to talk with it can somebody help me
hi @polar lodge Those are kinda, I locked in with my steam acc so I get the process and achievements
Since you need to own the games in order to play them
okay @paper nebula
sup guys
guys should i get the aorus 240m aio or nhd15?
money isnt a problem, and im just worried about temps and noise
Anyone wanna talk about computers?
ok
Im thinking about getting a razer 2 phone, is it any good??
Im thinking about getting a razer 2 phone, is it any good??
@dreamy heart its amazing uwu I like the feel of these "sharp" corners
Im thinking about getting a razer 2 phone, is it any good??
@dreamy heart Yes better performance
unless youre actually really gaming on it, id go for razer phone 1
@fleet hornet basically same specs but razer phone 2 has rgb uwu
Not me lol
good!
yes they are good
can some one please say me the best L shaped gaming table I
What would define a gaming table specifically?
space and the way it looks
Hello. I'm looking for nice headset for gaming etc. I saw Razer Nari but I'm not sure about mic quality etc. Can anybody say something about this headset? Would be amazing
I wanna do something like this but I have a cooler master XL mousepad
It's not RGB
If I buy a razer Goliathus rgb medium and put it over the xl for where I will use my mouse
Do you think it would look nice?
Yeah..
I have question
yeah?
Is there any deference between the huntsman tournament version and the normal one
hi @paper nebula
and te has red optical switches
which is faster
response time
te
delay
1ms
ok
okay then should I go with Razer BlackWidow Chroma V2
okay XD
or i have Blackwidow Chroma V2 TE in quartz but same thing xD
ok
@untold badger I upgrade from a Man o War to the Nari ultimate, and although to me it sounds the same, all the people I game with say my voice is clearer and crisper. I am not sure if this is because of Synapse 3 or the Nari itself. But I love it
Hello there! So I'm selecting the equipment to use for my Twitch streams and for a microphone I've settled on the Razer Seiren X. I also have the boom arm and foam windscreen picked out, but I'm having trouble selecting a compatible shock mount. I planned on connecting this mic to the RODE PSA1 swivel boom arm and I saw people recommending the Blue Radius II shock mount for an older model but I'm not sure if it's compatible with newer models. Can anyone please help me out?
@sick panther the Razer Seiren X has a built in shock mount. A separate shock mount is not required.
I love my Goliathuse Extended. first mouse pad / keyboard pad I have actually used longer than "5 mins"
@charred ice Hey there! Nice to see you in this server. Now, I recently thought about changing up the boom arm to something that I can just mount onto the monitor VESA mount. Anything you'd recommend for a boom arm that can also connect to the Seiren X?
I'm afraid I wouldn't know on that front
@sick panther i dont think that is a thing, but there is wall mounted boom arms tho! or you can try to diy rig it
Whattt
Should I get the razer nari or the razer Kraken ultimate
Kraken in my opinion s much better then the Nari but it's my person opinion nothing to do with product quality.
@hardy geyser any reasons why?
also just wondering, have you used both?
I'm on the fence
I just like the design of the Kraken and the functionality of synapse with it.
The Kraken has really good lighting capablities
well if they are that similar then its the wireless feature that grabs me
perhaps I should get the normal nari
Thanks for your opinion
how bout the mic
sorry I'm asking more questions lol
I'm just trying to spend wisely
The only thing that stands out to me with Razer mics is the RGB capability but other then the RGB the mic is pretty good but I'd recommend a Blue Yeti or a Blue Snowball both amazing mics with no RGB
Oh yeah the headset mic on both are good
Not studio quality but really good for a headset mic
Good gain
I hope its the same or better than my hyperx cloud stinger
I'm not sure about the Stinger because I've never used it but my friends have
looking into both headsets
I run a Nari Wireless, and I love it. When my Man O War finally gave up, I was undecided as to what to get next. The cooling gel earcups on the Nari wireless are awesome, and if you use the THX Spatial feature on games, music etc it really is pretty close to 7.1.
Paladin, I've been wondering about the Optical switches and how much better they actually are. I hope some reviewer actually does a comparison on the Mouse switches at least.
But yeah, after the ZBoard which was a good keyboard IMO. I went to this...
https://www2.razer.com/au-en/gaming-keyboards-keypads/razer-deathstalker-ultimate
Ohhh, that thing.
I always thought that was cool
But, it just seems... impractical nowadays.
It was a nice concept but developers didn't take advantage of it so it kinda died off.
Eventually I want to pick up a Tartarus Pro to have even more keys to use in MMO stuff
One could argue the exact same fate that befell Windows Phone
And, maybe use it for shooters too
I have a Tartarus V2 myself. I love it.
But yeah, after the ZBoard which was a good keyboard IMO. I went to this...
https://www2.razer.com/au-en/gaming-keyboards-keypads/razer-deathstalker-ultimate
@charred ice How much
I don't think I could use the Mecha Membrane switches.
That thing was £250 iirc
But it's a very old discontinued keyboard.
ok
Like you can't even access it on the US/EU/GB sites.
carently have an hunstman
Hmm, I wonder what the Analog Switches in the Tart Pro are modeled after.
If I want to show it off I have to link the flipping Australian site. Also, that keyboard is straight up membrane (the DS)
I assume the Tactile Purples are the base for the Analog switches.
I just don't have 130 to drop on a novelty keypad.
My next high-price purchase for my PC is going to be https://www.schiit.com/products/hel
It also has two step presses. Which work in things like FFXIV already.
Try saying THAT company name with a straight face.
Lol
It's as bad as Thrustmaster
They are a California based Audio Amplifier maker
I am looking for a new phone needs to be an android needs to be good for gaming any suggestion
Uhh...
Why Android?
Because Android is superior
(he says as someone who heavily dislikes iOS)
The ROG Phone 2 or the Red Magic 5G are your 2 major options for Gaming Phones
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JIKNqZq8i_0 Here's a Red Magic 5G mini-review
Putting GAMING on something doesn't necessarily make it a real winner... but maybe this smartphone can pull it off.

@tough horizon go home you're drunk. There was no bad words in that.
Oh I see the typo.
ok
I think you meant controller not what you typed 😂
But he said Android for support for his Xbox controller.
Yeah, for a gaming focused phone I'd recommend the ROG phone myself. Razer phone is far too old now IMO
ok
But that other phone Skip mentioned could be good too
I think I am going for the red magic for the cost
ok thanks @charred ice @echo sorrel
I'm after a OnePlus myself most likely.
Since Nokia decided to shove a USB 2 port in their phone so no HDMI over USB... (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
The 8.3 5G would have been perfect for me otherwise.
okay
Yeah, I think the Red Magic 5G is the better phone compared to the ROG Phone 2
Mostly due to the internal active cooling
And the much less "gamer" look
Nokia 8.3 5G - Elevate your photos and videos to pro-level with ease. ZEISS cinematic effects are built in to help make every video epic and the PureView quad camera with ZEISS Optics empowers you to capture moments you'll want to share with the world. Unlock new possibilities...
yes true
This phone.
However, I will give ROG props for the sheer amount of gadgets it supports.
Ouch though, Verizon coverage with the RM5G is... a tad lacking
Only 3/5 4G bands
And not 5G with Verizon
Looks like Sprint is your best bet with the RM5G
It supports the band of 5G that Sprint is using, and supports 4/6 4G bands, and even 3G and a large amount of 2G bands
https://youtu.be/BDRS_-VQlWY I'm currently rocking this phone.
Stand out and tell your story with the new Nokia 7.1. Boasting a dual rear camera with ZEISS Optics and an edge-to-edge, full HD+ 5.84” 19:9 screen with PureDisplay screen technology. #Nokiamobile

You in the UK?
Yeah
“Gaming smartphone” is so pointless lmao
I'm talking Strange
If you want a fast mobile device get a tablet
nobody enjoys gaming on a tiny screen either
i did not ask you anything @acoustic trout
The majority of Android Tablets are SLOWER than their phone counterparts
Not to mention the phone is almost always with you.
Since the tablet market is getting to be lower and lower with larger and larger Phones.
And, the Red Magic 5G has Active Cooling.
And games like Pokémon Go beg to differ on the whole "Nobody enjoys gaming on a tiny screen"
Strange, are you in the UK?
you dont need a gaming phone to play Pokémon go
If so, the RM5G has 100% support for all UK bands
i am in us
Yes but it's just one example of a game that counters your point of "Nobody enjoys gaming on a tiny screen"
Oh...
Ah, does the RM5G do HDMI over USB?
I can have all games in my phone when i travel
Not sure.
If so, I might be interested in it myself.
Strange, who's your carrier?
I’m against gaming phones not regular phones
t-mobile
And you're free to be. But the active cooling of that gaming phone will come in very handy when doing heavy workloads too.
might change to at@t
That’s the thing. Nobody does heavy workloads on a tiny phone
Erm, I've done web development on a phone before.
The RM5G works best on Sprint ion the US
why
Because I had the device to hand and was able to access a monitor, keyboard, and mouse.
The Red Magic 5G HATES Verizon
on a phone?
I liked Continuum on Windows Phone for example.
And yes, on a phone.
Why not a laptop
Because I didn't have one to hand?
Interesting
If you were doing work you would typically have better tech available than a phone
It was all hot desking and I had my Display Dock with me but not my laptop.
Didn't have access to a laptop as it was a work placement.
Ooh...
well i do have all games in xbox
yes
Sadly the OP7TP does NOT support Milimeter Wave 5G
Eh. If you would like one thats on you. I personally dont see the point
But, I can accept that at least.
So yeah, I want an Android device that can do HDMI over USB that isn't a Samsung because I've had bad experiences with Samsung, and that isn't Huawei because of the ongoing trade war.
It supports all 5 4G Bands for Verizon, and then both of their low-end bands too.
OnePlus was recommended to me as a result.
I just can't wait for the OnePlus 8
Rumor has it, it's going to be a Verizon Exclusive in the US
it also needs to be android 8+ i forgot that
Well, all of these will be.
So any recent phone basically
Anything this new is going to be on at least 9, if not 10
yes
Potentially getting Android 11 too
android 8 and above
And I tried XCloud. Quite liked it actually.
I personally prefer ios for the performance but it is not supported
Same
Although I will be using Rainway more because I'm more of a PC gamer.
Rainway?
cost per month
Looks like 0.00
Your PC has to be on though. So consider the electric bill.
It's basically like XCloud/GeForce Now
I have Xbox for both so no worries
But full-wireless?
they are all cloud gaming
Yeah, Steam In Home might be a better comparison.
Wait... is the entire project Open Source?
i am not a fan of stadia due to the games they have and the controller
I mean, Stadia is gonna be a flop either way.
Wait... is the entire project Open Source?
@echo sorrel What project
I like it. Works well, when my WiFi isn't being a turd. Which in my room, is almost never unfortunately
No
Thankfully the source (desktop PC) is hardwired
Rainway needs a PC
No. It requires a PC with the games installed
Your PC acts as your "cloud"
You're thinking GeForce Now
yes
GeForce Now is a Cloud Gaming Service for PC
My gaming pc is dead
GeForce Now is basically the PC equivalent of XCloud
Yeah if you register those with GeForce Now you might be able to play them on GeForce Now
My main game isn't available on GFN though
Paladin, know why my virtual controller on Rainway not fully work?
All it seems to do is when I punch some of the face buttons it makes my Geforce UI take a screenshot.
Ok, it's a game issue, not Rainway.
I was trying Sonic Mania as an easy first title for the service.
i’m trying to build a desktop but i know basically nothing about computers so anyone wanna help me
i can what is your budget
@amber zealot 2 things we need to know. What do you want to use it for and budget.
i wanna keep it around 600 and use it for games like modern warfare csgo and tf2
i was gonna look into pre builds but i know i can get more for my money if i build it myself
i’m just not good with all the different parts and knowing what i need to be good for those types of games to run smoothly
So you talking kb, mouse and monitor as well in that $600
600 dollars ain't gonna run Modern Warfare smoothly.
But it would easily do CS:GO and TF2
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/cJ6rL2 This is the closest I could get without going Used.
It has a lot of upgrade potential too.
@amber zealot
It's 15$ over budget but it'll run modern warfare at mediumish settings fine
Didn't include a windows key as you technically don't need one to run windows 10. Also if you're within the US you can get this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07XTQZJ28 instead and you'll be just within your budget and it'll be faster.
they ultimate gaming set made by @polar lodge
thanks
yes
I made so many setups for my friends
But not one for myself because I preferer laptops rog and razer blade
that "uktunate gaming setup" isnt ultimate
you added things that are just useless
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/VDJk7T my 1080p gaming pc
Can someone help me out realquick?
I got it solved, thank you though!
aight
So my razer headset broke just now
and im looking for a upgrade or something same
im not wanting to get anything from razer
is the logitech g pro x a good choice?
what's the best gaming laptop on the market? razer or otherwise
I'd say it depends on the kind of games you're playing. Some games require more CPU, some require more GPU, etc.
well, i play a lot of games. destiny, cs:go, minecraft,
i dont care if its the best at a specific game as long as it can decently run all of them
Ah gotcha, so you want something with a nice balance of both CPU and GPU power?
yeah i guess
what is budget
don't have a specific budget, can probably get my company to pay for some if i call it "necessary for work purposes"
So, Astro A40 TR vs Audio Technica ATH-M50X connected to a GoXLR. The Audio Technica feels so much fuller in terms of sound. When I'm streaming, I'm gonna be using my ATH cans
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/yBkPcq There you don't have the best graphic card but for work this is good @acoustic trout
i need a laptop @polar lodge
ohhhh
Surface Laptop 3 - 13.5" or 15 Is what i prefer then
or Asus ROG Zephyrus S GX502
your choice
totaly forgot msi titan
He's also after one for gaming. So I can't recommend the Surface Laptop
yeah, its mostly for gaming, with work as an excuse to have the company pay for it.
ok
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LNBhNBN_ytE anyone got this on his razer blade pro 17 2019 late summer?
Can't believe after reformatting my laptop that the problem is either in the battery or charger...
when i´m running games i get this problem
if the nvidia gpu doesnt run the battery charger works as he should do
if i minimize a game into the tray and the workload for the gpu goes under 20% the charger works again normally..
whats a good headset to get instead of any razer products?
Hi, I need some help with my Keyboard really quick! I use a Razer Huntsman TE. Everything works except my Zero Button, but I can do everything else than a Zero like = and }, but not a Zero. I don't know if its the keyboard or just any setting on my PC, but I wanted to ask if it's any setting on the keyboard
Have you taken the keycaps off to make sure there's no debries under the cap that's maybe stopping the board from registering a keypress?
@stark forge No I haven't, Im gonna do it now, but I just noticed that the Zero just does not work in Browser etc. But it works in some Games which I tested it in?
I just noticed, If I turn Caps on and hold Shift down and press Zero it works? But when I normaly do it it doesn't?
@tawny pasture probably the gpu demands more power than the power supply can give which might mean there’s something wrong on power supply circuit. You should contact support and provide your original video, that’s not yours right, it’s old Blade keyboard I believe 14 2015 or older. The problem may happen on Blade Pro since it use same 230 watt power brick like blade 15 but the pro use actually higher gpu tdp.
damn this feels good to be ignored
Hello. I am in need of some help with my keyboard and ESO please. I have Synapse 3 and a razer Ornata Croma.
I just need to make it stop taking over my KB when I go into ESO
ok i will post in support TY
eso = elder scrolls online sorry
@rich cradle do you mean a headset not made by razer?
so for the pc im saving for i have a XFX Radeon RX 5700 XT 8 GB THICC III Ultra Video Card but ive been looking into the nvidia titans, is there one that would be better. I am a 1080p gamer so no 4k.
any recomendatios would be appreciated
A Titan would be a waste of money
Especially for 1080P
You'd be better off getting an RTX 2080TI
Or staying with the RX 5700 XT
hello
A Titan would be totally overkill. I have a MSI RTX 2070 SUPER X and I'm playing every current game on the highest settings and getting incredible framerates.
i agree with everyone, the titan is total over kill. If your comparing something to the 5700xt you could go with a 2070 super. thats the closest card to the 5700xt. if you can wait a little longer, then wait for the 30 series rtx cards to come out. there suposed to be cheaper yet have more vram and do ray tracing way better
but is the XFX radeon enough?
i also have another question, does mhz really mater on a gpu?
okay
Hi guys, So im trying to find a gaming laptop for the Mrs. I can build a PC but i dont really know much when it comes to laptops. any recommendations? Budget is around £1300
any codes that are useable on the razer store at the moment
Aye I'm going to agree. A titan would be an extreme waste of money. I'm maxing out games left and right just with a GTX 1080
@lapis flint my buddy actually traded his 5700xt for a 2070. the only issue with the amd graphics cards are the drivers.
yes the happense with amd radone so I go with RTX
HDD ? if its a monster why wouldnt you go with NVME SSD Also the overkill with the PSU, that system would raun adequately on an 800w psu. And so much ram that is not needed. Is this your actual PC or a wishlist ?
lol 👍
All that and not a 2080ti
yeah I think its his dream build, not an actual monster build
Ye makes sense I guess
Is the extended goliath chroma good?
Lmaooo what
@acoustic trout depends on what he wants it for. For example I'll be getting the same CPU because the main reason for going to that level of CPU is an application that barely functions on AMD processors.
In fact, I'll have a dedicated gaming rig (Intel, but that app will also be used on the gaming PC because of what it does, so it needs the gaming PC for that), and a dedicated streaming rig (Ryzen)
Saw Newegg had another 2x8 set of my current RAM for only $69 yesterday and had to snap that up. 32gb of RAM will be total overkill in my system but what the heck right?
Wdym application that barely works on ryzen?
Hell, it's a cpu god damnit!
Apps dont know what they're running on, unless they were designed for that!
The only thing they care about is the speed, number of cores and the number of instructions per cycle
And ryzen beats core in all of those
And btw, remove that (don't tag, on break)
Cuz we cant even reply to you
Yeah, I was wondering the same thing. Sure, some apps will take advantage of multiple cores and others wont, but none should "barely run" on Ryzen.
ryzen all the way, no question.
better thermals, possible to overclock and more hardware for less cash
Apps dont know what they're running on, unless they were designed for that!
@acoustic trout that's the thing. The app has been tested, it performs like trash on Ryzen.
Yet performs pretty well on an equivalent Intel processor.
at this point you might aswell just tell us what app this is
can't find it
https://liv.tv/
Welcome... to LIV!
Yeah.
I know someone who tested it with a Ryzen 7-2700X and an Intel Core i7-8700K. The Ryzen was only getting like 5fps, the Intel was getting 30fps
what was the cpu usage?
I'm not sure, but likely full usage on both. But everything else was the same (same ram, same graphics card, etc, only other thing that was different was the motherboard as an Intel CPU won't fit in a Ryzen motherboard and vice-versa), and even the applications open were the same.
But as a result of that, and it being a person I know pretty well (and he's meticulous in his testing), I'm not risking a Ryzen on my gaming rig.
I would rather pay the Intel tax and be safe.
So yeah, gaming rig is going to be Intel, streaming rig Ryzen (because yes, for the streaming part, the Ryzen will perform better than Intel even with XSplit Broadcaster, which is what I use)
I just got my razer kraken ultimate today and i have messed around in audio settings to try and get what sounds best but now the wheel to change the audio level is not working.
@acoustic trout might be best to ask that in #351097273226362880
sorry didn't know that was a channel
#BeatSaber #ビートセイバー #VirtualMotionCapture
Testing the Vive Pro with the Vive Wireless Adapter, this time with the AMD Ryzen 9 3900X CPU with 12 cores and 24 threads. I am still using the nVidia GTX 980 Ti from my last computer for now and still using LIV, Streamlabs OBS, Vir...
@charred ice
60% usage
I'm still going Intel though.
I've already said. And at this point it a non negotiable
Also, having both will mean the tasks that perform better on the Intel can be placed on the Intel, and those that perform better on the Ryzen (where it can be done) can be placed on the Ryzen.
Basically, I then get the best of both worlds. I don't want two Ryzen machines.
And that's one machine. They didn't test the equivalent Intel CPU with everything else (except the motherboard for obvious reasons) being the same. So just because one person got lucky, I'm not taking that as evidence that Liv performs better on Ryzen.
i'm going with that you were unlucky
But again, I'm going for Intel and Ryzen dual PC setup. Not Ryzen Ryzen.
ok
Now that may mean I go for the Ryzen build first, and then get the Intel one later (but my Ryzen is going to be on ITX and my Intel on ATX, due to case limitations),
I was considering a Ryzen 7-37##X for my stream PC. Can't remember the exact numbers after the 37
Plus, I guess it gives Intel time to push something better out with their i9 series. Right now I use an i7-3770K
I was told that for a streaming PC the Ryzen 9 would be well, overkill. But maybe I should consider it.
Well yeah, but by the same token the Intel Core i9 could also be considered overkill for everything. They're in a different class of processor to the R7/i7 and below
HPDE I believe the acronym for their class is (High Performance Desktop Environment)
HPTC sorry (High Performance Technical Computing)
I mean if you have the money, go for the best. You do you. 🙂
does anyone know if i could use an AMD 5700 xt 50th A.E. with a XFX 5700 xt?
@warm ferry I would tend more towrds the MSI for the screen
@warm ferry I have an AOC G32G1. Great 1080p panel at a very reasonable price. 144, 1ms response time, HDMI and DP inputs.
May I ask its price?
Would anyone here be willing to help me pick out parts for my PC build today?
Awesome! Well, my budget is $2K and this is just for the parts. I'm not including peripherals or a copy of Windows. Now, for the parts I'm looking for them all to be compatible with Razer Synapse 3 in any way for RGB customizability (Seriously. Inject the RGB into my veins.), and I actually have a case picked out which is the Lian Li PC-011 Dynamic Razer Edition. And lastly I plan on using the PC for 1440p 144hz gaming, streaming on Twitch, creating content for YouTube, watching movies/TV shows, and general productivity.
I plan on having it be Power Rangers themed (huge fan of the show) hence all of the RGB. lol
Slightly over budget. Now i can't say exactly which RGB parts will be compatible with synapse but AFAIK G.skill trident RGB ram can sync with Synapse using mystic.
Also not sure if you're looking for an aftermarket cooler or trying to liquid cool
Also corsair RGB ram can as well?
Oooh sweet. Now does it include fans? Because I was looking into getting those as well. I've heard air cooling is the best way to go. Honestly if I have to bump up my budget to $2.5K that's fine.
Also, I forgot to mention I was looking to include a ton of storage on it. Maybe 3-4TB.
Yeah Water cooling is not really needed. And sorry yeah i forgot about fans tbh as most the pcs i build doesn't have RGB.
The processor's stock cooler is also pretty good. Not sure if you're overclocking or anything but if not than a aftermarket one wont be needed either
Though I don't think the wraith prism stock cooler has RGB or not
Oh yeah, that's true. I might stick with the Wraith Prism cooler.
What do you think of Thermaltake's fans? I've heard they are compatible.
To be honest I have no opinions on fans as I hardly buy aftermarket fans and to me fans are just fans. Though since you want RGB Fans i'm afraid i'm not exactly sure which fans will be the best for that.
btw, another thing to consider is Asus can be gotten to work with Synapse 3 through a tool called AuraConnect
I only added one pack of fans as i'm not sure how many you want to put in or the Size. make sure you check liam li site for the fan size options. But yes from what I read it seems Termaltake is a good option.
Though may want to swap that motherboard. From what i'm reading gigabytes RGB Fusion is kinda wonky. Seems there's some issues with the Trident ram
I run an Aorus build and RGB fusion has its moments. It works ok for me most of the time but its not compatible with Razer. As mentioned above, Project Aurora is great and compatible with alot. I have some friends that use Mystic Light (MSI) with Chroma and it worls well
It's not? Ah you're right. Thought it was
Must have mixed it up with in the 20 tabs of rgb connection searches hah
As I said, you can get Asus working with Razer Chroma. It's not official, but it works. I use it
Here ya go, so you can see for yourself
Damn gigabyte, they really need to let Razer Chroma control their stuff
Mystic Light doesn't work for me at all, so I wouldn't count on MSI if you want 100%, it's definitely gonna work, parts.
Thanks for the help so far, guys! I appreciate it!
@chilly ibex Okay, so maybe that MSI motherboard you recommended over?
Yeah
That one should work fine. May want to research it some though it should work since it's Mystic and not Fusion
As much as I love Aorus stuff, their RGB fusion is shit
The reason I bought an HDK was just so I was done messing around with different RGB systems. I'll install that, and set mystic Light to "cpu temp" for the color and be done with it.
@manic lotus sounds like a plan
Was looking at these motherboards. Which one do you think is best? I’ll do my own research later.
if you are going for pure performance then Taichi / Taichi ultimate
but if for looks too then i would pick pro carbon
also Taichi boards are known for their good life span and durability
I think the Asrock Taichi look nasty lol
@cobalt nexus you are right, its only suitable for steampunk / gentleman themed systems if you go by looks
yeah lol. Cant fault the quality though. Otherwise the Gaming PRo Carbon from MSI are good boards
Yeah, I think I’mma go with that one. Only problem I have is that it has no WiFi onboard but most of them don’t. lol Any recommendations on a WiFi adapter?
this is where Aorus is great, Sure no RGB support but they have WiFi and BT inbuilt
and that list hasnt been updated in a while as the 570 boards have wifi/bt
Hmmm, maybe I should message Lian Li to see if this would be compatible.
they are both ATX boards
and thge Lian Li PC-O11 Dynamic Razer ATX Full Tower Case will take all sized motherboards
which is what case you wanted I think
Would a MSI Ace 570 mobo work with Synapse 3 for the Lian-LI razer?
it should work
For the cooling, 2 or 3? Also is 800 Watt too much?
800w be ample for that build, and 2 fan cooling for the radiator is plenty. The case is big anough with air flow where the stock wraith cooler with the 3700x would even suffice. But I have also loved CPU AIO,
alright thanks
@sick panther you may be able to add ASUS ROG motherboards with RGB to the list through a 3rd party tool.
@pine brook get 3600mhz ram, ryzen prefers higher frequancy ram
@gusty trench 3200mhz is enough
oh yeah
I'm looking at getting 2 16GB sticks myself
Nice. I once thought about getting 32GB. Think 16GB is enough?
Well I'm often running out at 16GB so
But I'm also not your typical person, I could probably use up 128GB without meaning to
What do you all think of this monitor? Was thinking about getting an Ultrawide for my setup. https://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-34GK950F-B-gaming-monitor
Is the 2060 good for ray tracing? I really want to play minecraft with raytracing
for minecraft no
for other rtx stuff yeah
minecraft rtx is pretty badly optimized now
Does it make a better difference though?
but i think it will work just fine when it officially launches
well you cant play minecraft rtx without rtx gpu so yes i guess :D
since gtx series cant do real ray tracing if that is what you mean
or should I maybe wait an see if nivida is releasing their 3000 series so then the 2000 series will be cheaper. When do they usually release a new series of graphic cards?
they are supposed to launch at summer. but yeah that would be a wise move. i think minecraft rtx will work much better at that point anyways
hello hello. i try to look for a config file to remap the game Read dead redeption 2 on PC with synapse2.0 and my tartarus chroma. do you know where i can find a setup ?
2060 is an entry for raytracing, it's a decent card @sage sky
2070 super is basically a 2080 though, for 200 bucks more?
so go for that if you can shove in an additional 200
it'd pay off a lot
can the razer goliath extended be multicoloured or can it only be one colour?
It can only be one color @acoustic trout
oh ok
is there an extended mouse pad that is rbg?
is that the only one?
Think this is a good motherboard that'll work with Razer Synapse 3? https://pcpartpicker.com/product/XV6qqs/gigabyte-x570-aorus-elite-wifi-atx-am4-motherboard-x570-aorus-elite-wifi
Anyone here have a Novelkeys mousepad??
@acoustic trout the only rgb extended one from razer yes
is and rbg mousepad worth it?
If you like rgb then sure
I got the goliathus extended and like it a lot
@sick panther what did you mean a motherboard that will work with synapse
@acoustic trout To control the RGB settings through Synapse.
Uh
As far as I’m aware any will lmao
It’s just an application you download onto your pc
Motherboard shouldn’t affect it
But that motherboard is a nice choice
Thanks! I just hope it's also able to control the RGB effects in the Lian Li PC-011 case.
Also, I just noticed something. In my current PC build list it says I'd be using 519W. Now my current PSU is 750W. Should I consider upgrading the wattage to maybe 850W?
You should be able to stick with 750w
That motherboard won't work it needs to be either Mystic or Polychrm syn
For the RGB ram at least.
It will work for the cases RGB strips as those just goes through USB
Ohhhhhh
I get what you mean now
I thought he meant a motherboard that would let him use synapse on his pc 😂
Haha any motherboard will work with the cases rgb strips since it goes through the usb header on the motherboard but they also want rgb ram/fans which synapse wouldn't support with that motherboard as it's RGB Fusion and not mystic
rgb connections are so confusing honestly. This is why I never get rgb internal parts hah
Lmao aslong it looks nice I don’t mind about the rgb
This a better alternative @chilly ibex? https://pcpartpicker.com/product/gwPgXL/msi-mpg-x570-gaming-edge-wifi-atx-am4-motherboard-mpg-x570-gaming-edge-wifi
Yep that should work
I also emailed Lian Li about the compatibility between this motherboard and their PC-011 Dynamic Case. fingers crossed
Ponkle, if it's able to work with Asus, you may be able to use AuraConnect
I haven't tested it though with stuff on Asus Aura Sync, only the GTX 1080 from Asus which is Aura built in
Are they getting any asus rgb parts though?
Asus parts I find to be very high quality so I'd recommend them
Here's the build link https://pcpartpicker.com/list/cLtcjp feel free to edit it if you recommend they get any other rgb parts. I'm honestly not super up to date when it comes to RGB
I actually had a question about the 2 hard drives. Those would be installed on the bottom of the case, right? Instead of the fans?
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Vc7vCL just replaced the mobo and GPU with Asus ones
Both of which have quite a healthy dash of RGB
the motherboard has 7 USB ports (type A) and 1 type-C
As well as WiFi and Bluetooth built in, an optical out port, and 7.1(?) surround sound audio jacks
Yes AFAIK @sick panther though some one else may want to double check that
Honestly that motherboard looks really nice though. Might try to find an ITX version with a 2.5GbE port. Then get an Intel one on the other side with that same port so I can connect the drives together enabling me to edit on the stream PC but with the storage on the gaming PC
@chilly ibex Hmmm okay. Just trying to figure how many fans I can add inside the case while also having room for an Alpha 5 (Power Rangers) Funko POP! figure. lol
Well the case support
(Top) 120mm x3 / 140mm x2(Option)
(Side) 120mm x3(Option)
(Bottom) 120mm x3 (Option)
If you don't add any bottom fans you should be a able to have it in there fine
Yeah, maybe just the top and side of the case will just have fans.
Should I do 140mm or 120mm on top? Which would probably be smartest?
You're asking the wrong person hah but the pack of thermalcase fans comes with 3 120mm ones so it'll probably be best just to put 3. As for the actual performace or cooling of 2-140 vs 3-120? I'm not sure.
Either way you won't have cooling issues so it's kinda preference
Would you want 2 Big RGB fans on top or 3 Smaller Rgb fans?
Meh, for consistency probably 3.
Yeah same
I'm surprised it doesn't say anything about installing a rear fan.
Probably a good idea, though?
Does it support rear case fans?
I’ve seen some builds support it. Idk, kinda looks better without it.
Hey @charred ice, I saw that you were a fan of ASUS' products. Do they make any 27" 1440p 144hz monitors that you'd personally recommend? Tbh I keep going back and forth whether or not I want 2 monitors or 1 Ultrawide display. Sorry, I didn't know whether I should @ you or not. lol
I don't have an Asus monitor.
Anyone have suggestions for 120mm addressable RGB fans? Trying to give my Lian Li Razer some style haha
Most rgb fans are more or less alike. I suggest you just get the same brand as your motherboard
@sick panther I have the asus rog swift pg278qr which is 1440p 165hz and I love it
My new Blackwidow TE came in today.
I've never used a mechanical keyboard before, but I am very excited to start gaming on it
razer switches seem aight
maybe razer can make a hot swappable board and sell their own switches?
cuz i think people would be interested in their opto electric switches
and just their mechanicals, i'd be down to try them on a hot swap
Probably wouldn't be able to hotswap between their optical and mechanical switches
mechanicals should be piss easy, it's just like any other mechanical switch
and the opto electric switches aren't like the steelseries hall effect switches, they dont need a whole other processor to recieve any special functions
just a registration, not much different than contacts meeting in a normal mechanical switch
also razer keeb with those tartarus pro switches, would love to compare it to the apex pro
my apex pro beats out anything when it comes to how smooth the switches feel
i'd wanna see those tartarus switches compare
the switches in the Tartarus Pro use 2 stage activation so...
didnt say they gotta be hot swap
just make a full board of those
like the apex pro
maybe a 60% perhaps, i want mainstream 60% oems
is the actuation customization 0.1mm steps?
or just a few prefixes
What should I do if my mouse wont reset when I hold the buttons down
im currently on a project where im using an app i coded for my phone which gathers data from the accelerometer and sends it via Bluetooth to a robotic arm (essentially a robotic arm controlled by hand movements). I'd like to swap out the glove and phone for a vr hand tracker so theirs nothing on my hand. Does anyone have experience with this or know how it can be done??
@ me
Can't say how you'd go about it but leap motion may be your best bet when it comes to hand tracking @brisk void
Can i ask for hardware help here?
yeah i can help with that, wassup?
oki
hmm peripherals are bit out of my context, im familliar with components but i know someone who maybe could help you
let me look him up
kk
@fleet hornet didnt you know thing or two about peripherals? or am i too drunk again
does the mic go in
yea
damn
well it is the kraken but there is 5 versions of it
oki. mb
peal off the left earcup, it says under
ok
razer kraken pro
but if you want you can check by doing the earcup
hm
let me see
thats all
but like
it was working so perfectly yesterday
did you try replugging and rebooting?
yeah, that sometimes fixes issues
ok
the next thing i would try is plugging it into a phone, or another device to see if its an issue with the headphoens or pc
yeah, maybe check your output
how?
plug in your headphones, and click on the sound icon, then theres a dropdown thing for the devices
ok
hmm
right click the sound icon, click open volume mixer, then play audio, and see if its sending audio to the headphones
im not sure
usually for me a reboot fixes it, but idk now
maybe try a different port?
different port?
idk, mine has 2 so sometimes the other port works
i suggest looking it up, or finding a youtube video
looked alot
only 2 ports
the other one thinks theyre speakers
this is what my pc uses
i dont think your computer is detecting your headphones
im not sure why
thanks for the help tho
its fine
so I thought Id come here to just ask a question, I just bought a razer blackwidow chroma v2 te, everything is fine except for one little pesky bug, the alt key, W, A, capslock, shift, and 2 key are all lit up a color that I cannot seem to be able to change, any help?
all the keys are working and all
just want to be able to customize the entire board
Try different usb port
Update or reinstall drivers
Try different computer
If its still doing it then there’s damage to the board, RMA
any cheap headsets out there for gaming as well as music/leisure in general?
been using my jaybird vistas as audio and its not a fun experience
only feature i think i would want is to have a detachable or removable microphone
so far ive been considering the kraken x from razer and the hs50 from corsair
was wondering if there are any others ive missed out
budget is about 60ish
@acoustic trout I have one. I have not had any issues with it. It is a great keyboard
Yeah np
Thoughts on this build? Recently changed the RAM to G.Skill's Royal series and added a monitor from Alienware. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/gCtJZf
Also, how do you guys feel about GPUs being mounted vertically in a air-cooled PC?
@sick panther that's definitely a powerful build. Hard not to like something using nothing but top of the line parts. 🤷🏻♂️
@acoustic trout Going just fine.
@sick panther I’d say to change the ram from the gold to silver I think it will look a lot nicer but apart from that’s seems fine
Sir the pc 011 razer is out of stock everywhere
including the website linked in the part picker
@acoustic trout Yeah I was thinking silver at first, but my build is going to be Power Rangers themed so I thought the gold would best represent the Power Coins.
Ah ye fair enough then gold would be cool
@acoustic trout For now, it is. It has been in and out of stock for about a week or so and I don't plan on getting this till the end of the year so I think it'll be available.
interesting
I thought they stopped making them because at some point they were only on ebay
I have thought about changing the monitor to one from ASUS to be consistent (since I have most of my PC parts from ASUS) but I don't know. What do you guys think I should pick for a monitor? I'm looking for 34" 1440p 144hz Ultrawide monitor with a IPS panel.
Been eye-balling this one for a hot minute, even thought it's 100hz only. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/asus-rog-swift-34-ips-led-curved-qhd-g-sync-monitor-armor-titanium-plasma-copper/5372101.p?acampID=633495&cmp=RMX&loc=Ujs04EyrNxyORR3xU-SAVSQkUkiznjRfNxLQV80&ref=198&refdomain=pcpartpicker.com&skuId=5372101&fbclid=IwAR1zFqzU26mVi1LsYXyMcHmLu72uadcGi807RC2iSAnC0zOuh2UJ-w-qPfw
32gb of ram is overkill but it's satisfing to see all the slots filled 🙌🏻
@sick panther what are you planning on doing with the pc
also swap both hdds for a single berracuda 2 tb drive, same performance, same capacity, price of a single
@gusty trench Gaming, streaming, and productivity.
what type of productivity- movie rendering? 3d modeling? video editing?
if not the first two, i'd shave off a lot of the power in this build, because it's not that reuqired, especially the royal ram
tridant z and ripjaws perform basically the same, for much much less
ryzen cores prefer high frequancy dual channeled ram, so the 3600mhz pick is good
...and tbh you'll do enough with 16 gb, unless you render heavy duty stuff.
so i need to know what "productivity" you do @sick panther
@gusty trench Just general productivity like writing, editing, internet browsing, sending emails, watching movies/TV shows, etc.
alright, prepare to save about 1.3k dollars on this build lul
im imagining the razer case is needed for the clout?
or any case would do?
@sick panther
I had that specifically picked out.
alright then
..just look out about the mouse
getting the blingiest mouse isnt a good idea
I mean the Razer case is a quality, easy to work with case that has the bonus of looking great.
measure your hand length from your crease to the middle fingertip and width from the right side to the thumb when it's pressed against your index finger
I mean the Razor case is a quality, easy to work with case that has the bonus of looking great.
@manic lotus i'm planning on using the h510 since it's pretty familiar
I have the h510 and love it. Great case!
measure your hand length from your crease to the middle fingertip and width from the right side to the thumb when it's pressed against your index finger
and the way you hold your mouse- fingertip / claw / palm grip @sick panther
I have the h510 and love it. Great case!
@manic lotus thought sooo
i wanna build a beefy pc that'll last me a while
so i wanted a pretty straight forward case
how many fans would that razer case fit @manic lotus ?
cuz im feeling be quiets would be enough
...actually nvm
alright, here's the revised list @sick panther
high end, would be hard to push to the absolute limit
..and again, check your hand size before you buy a mouse
like that, height and length
...and i wouldnt recommend compilying anything other than pc components and related items (monitors, capture cards, etc)
keyboards, mice, mics, etc can go on a paper list
just a list of the pc parts and nothing else, as a reference
against the previous build
you save 620 bucks with it
hey guys, should i get the razer phone 2 or iphone x?
i can get either one for 350$, so price isnt an issue, and i cant decide
the screen is my biggest want, i need a nice screen
the razer phone 2's screen is bigger and has better reolution and ppi, and has 120hz, but the iphone is oled so its super tough
Does 120hz matter to you?
The Razer phone 2 "may" get more os updates can't be certain though. The iphone x will be supported for a long while.
Also do you have a preference on OS?
yesss i also reallllly like the 120hz thats super awesome
and yeah i like apple os wayyyyy more
its really tough all my descisions
Yeah it is. I'm thinking about getting an Iphone SE myself(coming from an RP1) I would say either wait for the RP3 which isn't even confirmed or go with the Iphone
I love the Razer phone but for the long run i would go with the iphone
well i mean i can get the new razer phone
the reason im even considering it is because theyre both 350$
thats why im devating
theyre both used
Personally i'd get the X
@gusty trench Hey! Just got off from work and made some necessary changes. Changed all of the parts from ASUS to MSI (I prefer them anyway) and I'm probably gonna change to an MSI Ultrawide soon. I'm probably gonna keep the gold G.Skill RAM to match my theme and I'll add 2 2TB hard drives to fill in those slots on the bottom. Now what would you recommend for a WiFi adapter? I plan on connecting my PC to the internet via WiFi router, no ethernet.
I do appreciate all the changes, though!
I will say that I won't be going for the Razer case myself. Got my eyes on a Phanteks one.
ATEM Mini Pro, HyperDeck Studio Mini, and 2 Pocket Cinema Camera 4Ks... all from Blackmagic. Gonna cost a pretty penny though 😦
Imo the g.skill royal is a waste of cash, and the tridant z would fit the sleek colorful style more than the royal, and again you'll do well with just 16gb 3600mhz. As for the connection, I use a physical wifi adapter to connect, but I'm not sure if the Mobo I recommended has it built in, let me check. If not, I'd just but some adapter to plug into your PC, bc buying a Mobo just for the WiFi is a bit ignorant of the other features of the Mobo. The one I picked has the drivers for the CPU and performs very well by what people say. @sick panther
I'm definitely going Asus though
tbh I would rather buy a Huawei that an Apple. I am a believer in owning a phone and an account when I buy and register a phone. Have a couple of mates with Razer 2 phones, One loves it, the other trying to sell to go back to Samsung
tbh there arent that "worth it" phones besides the iphone se
samsung's flagship lineup is reaching with its prices, apple's flagships are expensive as always and huawei are just unreliable
oneplus could be an option, but it has some compromises
No iphone is worth it. I know samsungs prices are up there but they are not the inflated prices that apple are. Dont even get me started on OS lol. Compulsory upgrades with Iphones to the point that the battery is lucky that they get an hour in older phones
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/GtJZDx aight, final modification @sick panther
2070 super is as good as a 2080, and ig the 32 gb is good for streaming
also that ssd is also nvme but 70 dollars cheaper
@gusty trench I appreciate it! I still need a WiFi adapter in there, though. What would you recommend? I’m looking for something with antennas sticking out.
I'd recommend just some external adapter, buying a Mobo just for the WiFi is a bit wack. I wouldn't know about these though, I'd assume some tp link options are alright. Look around though, I'd figure you'll find something
How does this look, everyone? https://pcpartpicker.com/list/NQppp8
@sick panther that looks sweet so far, just have 3 questions, why the royal? regualr would fit the build better and cheapeer. do you really need 5 tb of storage? and why no cpu cooler if youre going so hard on the fans already?
- Expensive good 2. pron 3. Lower the better
what?
lmao
obama i dont understand
- forget the royal, take the neo.
- you don't need 5 tb out of the box, get 1 tb of ssd and 2tb of hdd, and get the crutial p1 ssd, it's the same performance as the evo for much less.
- the fans should be enough, so don't bother with any other coolers.
- 2080 super isn't really worth it, the 2070 super is basically the same for much less. take that instead.
@sick panther
this is my final verdict.
and again, if the case isn't a must bc of the razer the h510 is a great case.
hi should i get razer phone 2 or ipad pro (new one)
im deciding between the razer phone 2 and iphone x and cant decide
Why are you debating between a phone and a tablet
i need some help with ,y new keyboard anyone!!!???
My kraken x mic is so low , it it only me?
@hazy saddle If you need a phone, look for an Android option, maybe a budget samsung phone or a OnePlus. If you need a tablet, unless you're doing art or heavy work on it, get a normal iPad, no need to waste cash on newer hardware like that.
@fleet hornet Ditto.
@weary tartan What keeb you got?
@storm mason Maybe check Synapse, or check your mic levels in Windows. Look in Playback Devices > Recording > your Kraken mic > Properties > Levels.
@gusty trench I boosted my mic then it work my mic get better but the noise is so loud
@storm mason lower it down, then lol
@fleet hornet ditto means "as mentioned above". The Razer phone seems a bit meh, so I'd recommend looking into OnePlus for good Android devices. And again, if you won't use the iPad for drawing or any difficult tasks get a normal iPad, butif you're getting them for 300 a pop I'd say you got lucky
Otherwise whatever I mentioned.
Oh, you weren't about iPads, oops
I say OnePlus for Android and overall, iPhone SE if you must get an iPhone.
^
Imagine a Razer Viper Mini Ultimate
hey i need help with my rgb razer keyboard plsss saomeone
what do you need help with
Im thinking of getting the razer viper ultimate plus the charging dock. Is that a good idea
from what ive heard, its like the best wireless mouse on the market
yea ive watched a bunch of youtube videos so i think i might save up and get it
cheaper and better than g pro wireless
👍
dude its tough though cuz the basilisk ultimate is also super awesome
Need help
Yea but i am right handed and have big hands so im kinda leaning towards the basilisk ultimate
I love my Basilisk V2, feels great in my hand.
Looking good so far! Could clean up some cables a little over time, but it looks sweet.
built the computer 7 years ago with an AMD FX-6300, upgraded pretty much everything except the CPU. Sadly, you can't make the most of a modern CPU without changing the mobo and the RAM, everything else was reused like the graphics card, hard drives and power supply
what did you put into it?
built the computer 7 years ago with an AMD FX-6300, upgraded pretty much everything except the CPU. Sadly, you can't make the most of a modern CPU without changing the mobo and the RAM, everything else was reused like the graphics card, hard drives and power supply
Wait does't that mean that pc was good for gaming becase AMD wasn't good & years ago????
I was looking for a nice pc fan because i cant seem to find the driver for mine. Any recommendations?
Sorry, badly explained... In the old machine (orange box) I had upgraded everything except the CPU. I decided to upgrade my CPU to the Ryzen 5, which meant i needed a new mobo and ram.
Turns out I need a better cooler as I'm hitting 97*c when encoding video
Now it has:
- Ryzen 5 3600 (new)
- Asus Prime B450M-A mobo (new)
- Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 16GB kit (new)
- Samsung 970 EVO Plus NVMe SSD 250GB (new)
- Nvidia GTX 970 (old)
- Corsair CX600 power supply (old)
