Sorry you had a bad experience. Sadly there is no way to reserve the item that is in the cart. This is how the majority of websites work and operate. Until you place the order anyone can order the item. I get this can be frustrating when you are trying to order a highly sought after item. Personally I have had that same issue on amazon when ordering. You know when it says there is one left order soon. I am sorry that you were not able to order the mouse as it was out of stock by the time you got to finalize or near finalize your order.

my first razer mouse is the original razer lachesis from 2007 and I got only razer mouses/pads since (with viper ultimate right now). I am happy to see that razer don't really care to put that VMSE into my hands vs some scalpers. I had it in my cart, filled my address and when clicked on payment (and trust me, I was not slow + have account ofc) ---> item removed from your cart as it's sold out. They claim no store keep for a little bit of time the item when in your cart and that's a lie, many online stores do and double for items like that. No bot protection, no few minutes reservation of the item to fill your details, no nothing.

razer R&D told me few days ago in reddit that the answer to that question is no. It will require revisited PCBA + new certificates, maybe for future VMSE2, but that's some time ahead. Saw some that have both VMSE and V3P actually to say that the sensor feels better on the V3P, especially in 8k (smoother) - can't say how true it is tho, but defo for 375 euro (with the taxes it will cost for me close to that amount in EU) one would expect the best razer has to offers as technology and features, so I totally understand your question.

1. I just don't like big bulky things anymore. I even had a custom 15L SFF PC and it didn't feel right
2. A tower pc is like a shackle. Mentally and physically for me
3. You can't bring your tower pc anywhere like a laptop

good luck with actual desktop full 450-480W TDP 4090 in 16inch laptop (or even bigger). The mobile 4090 is 150W, 16GB vram, half the mem bandwidth and I can go on - in short the desktop version is 40%+ faster. Depending what you play that is nothing even close to small difference in heavy games and higher resolutions. The CPU under sustained load while the GPU is also put to work is also gimped big time and not even close to the desktop alternatives. Find me a laptop that have 1kW power adapter as 14900ks + 4090 desktop system can easily pull 800W stock and 1kW if power limits are tuned. How you will put that in laptop chassis? No need to answer, you don’t - even the most expensive and big laptops are not doing that.

razer R&D told me on reddit that it will require revisited PCBA and also new certificates to swap the sensor for the newer one and thus no plans to update the sensor of VMSE. Maybe for VMSE2, but who knows when that one will come. TBH while I understand, I also kinda don't agree - this mouse costs for me about 2.5 times (Europe and yeah - 1m to sell out and was removed from my basket so could not even purchase it) vs V3 pro with objectively better hardware. Some people that have both says the newer sensor actually is better at 8K and feels smoother.

@burnt remnant depends, for me (19cmx9.5cm) viper ultimate I have is more comfortable (and better grip as well) than the V3 pro I have from few days. The sensor is noticeably better tho, but we are talking the older viper ult one, not the newer one in v2p/vmse. Also the V3P while the coating feels good, it leads to more heat (can be also due to the more contact with the back of the mouse). I aim better with the v3p in quake tho, but due to the weight (I am really good hitscan player with 50-55% LG and 70% RG for those that play/know).

Also something that will not be mentioned that much - from time to time even with my mid sense of 21cm/360 I hit the keyboard with my mouse while playing. Rarely, but happens - mamba wireless, viper ult, even for the lolz lachesis OG I had connected - no problems at all, no scrach, nothing on all of those. First hit with V3P that was far from the strongest I had (on the opposite side) into my huntsman elite and on the left side wall next to the button DEEP cut. Given that your finger is closer to that BS wall that is missing in viper ult/VMSE - I touch it. So basically 180 euro mouse that I want to throw into the trash 4 days after purchase...

just venting with the last paragraph, sorry all. The part that makes sense is that the V3P coating/plastic is easier to damage vs previous mouses. It's softer. So it may turn out that VMSE is more comfortable to me due to it's smaller size and that's the most important part for a mouse nowdays. I tried D3P when it came out so I know how the sensor of the VMSE is and I can tell you that I felt similar difference with my viper ult. So I suspect that the difference between VMSE and V3P sensor wise is not that big, but it's defo better and newer sensor not just revision of t he older one.

Hey thanks for sharing that information regarding the VMSE sensor update, I also believe it's ridiculous they didn't update to a new sensor with this last batch, considering what the mouse costs. Also prefer the shape of the smaller VMSE vs VV3P, which is why I opted not to purchase one. Hopefully Razer updates VMSE with new sensor soon!

@frosty widget many are, the previous drop sold literally in 1-2 minutes (Europe) and was after v3 pro release - in the end those two mouses are vastly different form factor. For example I am with 19cmx9.5cm and I prefer a lot more viper ult form factor vs v3 pro. Most likely I will find VMSE more comfortable for me and naturally it's collectors item for many of us on top of usable mouse. The sensor sure is a little bit inferior vs V3P, but it's also far less important vs shape.

I sent a request to Razer customer support and apparently I can’t get replacement skates or grip tape from them. I’ve had the vmse for a few months and haven’t used either yet because I’m worried about messing up when I apply the skates or grip tape. However, even despite my sweaty hands, I haven’t seen any noticeable corrosion on the mouse

There won't be corrosion and if you mess up the Skates you can get Tyger ice Skates for the mouse or super dots if you want glass

But the glass Skates the mouse comes with are so good you have to try them

I bought the original vmse first batch and used the mouse for a year, from my experience, the stock skates are the best and the stock grips are decent enough. replacing the skates once a year and grip tapes once every 3-6 months is pretty normal. If you want more grip tapes I recommend pulsar supergrip for the viper v2 pro, their side grips will fit the vmse fine. Normally you want the grip tapes to be as thin as possible but vmse is a tiny mouse and supergrip is VERY THICK, they add a tiny bit more width to the mouse and I like it a lot. If you want thin grip tapes, xraypad cicada or whatever they are called, they have vmse grip tapes for sale

also wlmouse was selling beastx grip tapes for $1, i bought 4 pairs for my ulx, they can be used on the vmse too. sale is over, just fyi they fit. (beastx mini grips don't fit)

no line at all, i went at like 2pm. i don’t think people in SG cares about this that much. or simply the rich guys already got theirs during the early drops.

just call the store first before u go to see if they have stock. but as of now i don’t think u should worry about it. just gotta go on the drop day.

for example if the drop is on 21 May (11pm), surprisingly u can just walk to the store during the day so many hours ahead of online release. (even though the website says it’ll be sold on 22nd for physical store)

not sure if it’s a miscommunication between online and offline store or something but apparently that’s how it is here. I had to call them and ask them to reconfirm because they wouldn’t sell it to me on 22nd at first.

depends a lot on the mouse pads also the razer skates feel completly different than the rest of the glass market, and assuming you got tiger ices the only skate worth considering over corepads or xray the expierence of glass on a control pad will be much more 3d and fluid than ices on a hybrid or speed pad

I have used glass from other brands, and after a week, the friction of the glass increased, which began to wear down the mouse pad. I have always used the artisan hayate otsu mouse pad. maybe I should try razer glass, thanks.

okay this, i also overestimated the size of the vmse 💀. there’s a reason why it’s called “mini”, and i for some reason didn’t think this through and thought its the same size as normal viper.

it’s not really a big deal but coming from viper ultimate, it’s definitely a bit smaller. so there’s a bit of a learning curve and adjustments to do before i get used to vmse

He have really big hands, saw the size in previous posts and even for my a lot smaller hands VMSE is a with a question mark if the size will be ok for me (19-19.5cm x 9.5-10cm) coming also from viper ultimate and viper v3 pro that I purchased 2 weeks ago (I prefer the viper ult shape vs v3p - don't like the higher hump)

ofc and I (most of us) know that. Hardly anyone would not check nowdays the size and shape as this is one of the more important factors. I never tried mouse as small as VMSE, but given I generally prefer smaller mouse and play quake (i.e. FPS) on highest level - most likely I will like it. Otherwise I own both viper ult that is awesome, but the rubber on the side starts to worn off and viper v3 pro that is great, but the shape is not as comfortable for me vs viper ult.

VV3P works much better for me. Thanks to the hump I can actually rest my hand now which was not really possible on the VV2P

VV3P also comes with some more benefits to me. It is white and has that auto switch Hz mode for games. I did not see that feature for the VMSE. Also it has the much bigger skates which are actually better I believe and think when using/used both

Edit: I wanted to try the VMSE anyways as I knew it is no risk because I can resell the mouse with a profit. I wanted to see what the praise was all about. I wanted to make it work if possible. Don't get me wrong it is a really really nice mouse. If you have the hands for it, you can enjoy it for sure.

obviously the v3 pro packs latest features but man i hate the new design which is more “soft” and “ergonomic”. i chose the vmse purely for aesthetic and the “menacing” look that all viper lineups previously had.

I can agree on that actually. You know the VMSE feels amazing in hand thanks to the materials mainly. I doubt it is purely the coating. The plastic from the VV3P is noticeably worse than magnesium alloy

oh yeah same problem with my viper ultimate is the grip started to disintegrate, thankfully it’s an easy fix with third party replacement. but my hands are kinda sweaty and the grips start to stink lmao which is the reason i made the choice to buy a new mouse, preferably without the grips anymore

yeah, your hand is way bigger than mine and I can see how VMSE is basically a nope for palm. Good that you took the white V3P btw, read a lot that it feels far better. I got the black one (my full setup is black so... yeah) and I don't really love the coating - it's kinda sticky and just doesn't feel that great in my subjective opinion. Btw the auto switch ingame for the polling rate sounds more like a software feature to me than hardware related. Razer should be able to enable it for other mices as well.

@leaden whale while grippy as hell - worns out kinda quick. Still, it depends how it was done. My mamba wireless sides are fine, but that mouse had it's different issue with them - they unglue themself (mine are fine, but enough complains on the web about it). The ones like viper ult that are "merged" are nope, I generally keep my mouses - still have working lachesis OG from 2007, just the skates are changed for obv reasons. So I care about durability.

update the firmware, but it's strange to not arrive with the latest one given it was released over 1 year ago. Mine arrived with the latest firmware today, but I have small dot on the left button that you can feel if you drag your finger over it. You can see it in the middle of the photo tho it's not that noticeable visually, you can defo feel it if you go over it with the finger. Dissapointing for 320 euro mouse.

it's ok, most likely will keep it. Still deciding on that, I think there is a small one on the left side of the mouse as well 😄 + the default skates are really easy to scratch (on soft mouse pad btw). The V3P is in some ways better mouse, but the VMSE looks awesome indeed and I have no issue holding it, it's comfy for me. Will not sell it even if I decide to use the V3P in the end and those defects are hard to see with eyes.

you can feel them if you "search for them" via sliding your fingers. In normal use you don't feel them and thus I am thinking about keeping it. It's totally possible to receive more defective one if I send it back.
