thanks so much, that did the trick. now to figure out why the triggered effects don't work. would it be easier to figure out how animators work?
define: "don't work"
right, sorry. they are showing up in game, but clicking them doesn't play the animation. it just keeps idling
can you share the prefab?
maybe it would help if i say what im trying to do.
i have a spaceship with deployable turrets
i have an idle animation for retracted turrets, and one for deployed turrets
i have triggered animations for retracting and deploying the turrets
ideally, i'd have it set up so that toggling the deploy also toggles which idle animation plays, but one step at a time
heres the prefab
note: i have since added the animation components, no dice
