The game was going perfectly until yesterday and now the game wont pick up my microphone no matter what. It's just really annoying cause yesterday was about the only time this month both of my friends could play and the chance just got wasted cause the game broke and it ruined the immersion and fun since we couldn't use prox chat

update, the game is using the output as my input if that makes sense, so whatever is playing in my headset is the input not my microphone

Hmm, I've seen others mention that happening in various games. I set inputs and outputs specifically in games, never just windows default. But I don't remember if that input/output flip is windows or the game.
I did a search and came across several solutions when you can look up (my search was "windows uses headset as input and mic as output"). There was one that said his headset wasn't quite going in the plug and the contacts were crossed over both the input and output (hardware).
The rest involve going into Control Panel, Sound, and doing some checks there

Just to update this - we have fixed an issue that happened very rarely that might be causing this. We will hopefully be bringing a new build very soon

This is the same issue me and my friend are having. His mic output is set to his input.
