#My game keeps crashing and I've validated my files

What graphics card are you using? If you're not sure, you can find out one of two ways:
-
Open Task Manager and check the Performance tab for your GPU; or
-
Hit Start on your keyboard and type
dxdiag. Open the result it gives you, and your graphics card should be in the Display tab
When you say it's crashing, can you tell me a bit more about that? Like when you try to run the game is it just immediately closing? Or is it when you're trying to load into a particular story chapter or case? Or something else?
When I start up the game I'm fine for a bit
I load into a level and I'm fine then 2-5 minutes later I crash
Only played a bit of chapter 1 and 2
The most I was able to play was 5 minutes before I crashed
Sounds like it could be a memory issue. Could you post your player and player-prev logs so I can see if they have anything helpful? Instructions on how to find them are here: #1182116593996681236 message
Yep those are the ones, thanks! So it's looking like our basic logs don't have the specific crash reason, but that a (hopefully) more in-depth crash report was generated. Could I get that from you too? It'll be located at this file path on your computer:
C:/Users/<PC_NAME>/AppData/Local/Temp/Valko Game Studios/Labyrinthine/Crashes
Sorry for the wait, got a new computer recently and I'm just reinstalling the software I need to be able to read the crash file. Should be just a few minutes
Exception code: 0xc0000005. The thread tried to read from or write to a virtual address for which it does not have the appropriate access.
Okay so this error could mean quite a few different things, but there are some common causes for it. The common causes could be a permissions issue on your system, an issue with your RAM, outdated graphics drivers, corrupt system files, or an issue with your storage drive. Let's try ruling out the possible system files issue as I see that more commonly than all the others combined.
You'll want to run the System File Checker, which will find and repair/replace any corrupt or missing system files on your PC. You can follow Microsoft's instructions on how to run it here:
Doing it now it's taking a bit
I did it and it didn't find any integrity violations
Can you see if you have an update to your graphics drivers? A new one came out pretty recently for NVIDIA cards
I have the current version but I reinstalled it just to make sure
