it is extremely infuriating when trying to change some values like the moon phase because the transition animation keeps making you overshoot sliders

(also it's really choppy and it just looks so much worse than if it just updated immediately)

also on the topic of the environment menu it would be really appreciated if in multiplayer the server didn't constantly replicate your own env menu changes back to you while you're trying to move a slider

100% agree with this, it makes the game look laggier than it is and there's no reason for it to exist

one way to make it not look laggy while still preventing people flashing the brightness of the map a lot very fast (which I assume is the intention with this interpolation) would be to make it only able to change some percentage of the slider per update, so you could instantly make small changes, but larger changes still get a speed limit

If that is the intention with the interpolation, it's odd that the interpolation doesn't apply for time of day and sun angle.
I wonder if that's a bug.
