You know like with the selection tool, but it lets you move and rotate multiple bricks (if this isn't in the game arleady)

you can use the selection tool to select a group of bricks you'd like to move, then use cut (ctrl + c) or copy and delete and then paste and place the selection where you'd like it to be.
You can drag the selection handles in box mode to expand the box, or you can use ctrl + click to add a brick to the selection (or ctrl + right click to remove one, which I just tested and its actually broken so I'm going to bug report that right now)
