Are you talking about just being able to copy and paste brick settings/components without using the presets functionality?

Because if so, that's already a thing with the Applicator
Using the applicator, just gotta aim at the brick that has the properties/components you want to copy, and then do ctrl c and ctrl v to paste on another brick
It will try to apply as many things as it can. Obviously you can’t copy a servo component onto a slider but compatible things should transfer
