Song: Smalltown Boy
Artist: Bronski Beat
Style: dense speed, light js
Rating: 31

Ignore the syncing/timing issues present as this me converting my own file from osu over to sm with like zero knowledge on how arrow vortex works lol.

I do plan on re-doing some transitions as they can be a tad rough when coming in and out of the certain dense sections. Can definitely use some feedback on the slower js sections, not enough layering imo. But for what it is, its a big contrast to the dense sections which can act as a break. Let me know your thoughts, feedback and criticisms are welcome 🙂

dumping all of the breaks as js is kind of an odd decision, light dumping or accurately charting it i think would've worked a bit better. or at least placing the js consistently to something like the vocals so you have those 8th breaks inbetween. the last chorus is also not dumped when the first one is which is a bit confusing. i also can't really comment on the second half of the file because it's all offsync (due to your lack of syncing)

in the first chorus with the 48ths, the bridge between the vocal sections (around 1:47.006 in your current file) i'd advise making that a bit lighter to emphasise the upcoming section a bit more and offer a break between them there because i think that's probably more vital

looks good enough to play, you're a good player so i expect that i guess

#

@tame jay mention incase you don't check here - if you want to sync the file hit (Shift+S) to open Adjust Sync or just go Tempo > Adjust Sync and move the offset about / change the bpm. if the song has bpmchanges you'll need to do a bit more in Tempo > Adjust Tempo and add some. use the waveform / beat tick if you get lost

#

most of the notes need replacing at the correct time as well, they're all unsnapped

#

in ArrowVortex/stepmania, notes aren't based on time so you can easily just cut them and place them where you want and they will maintain the same snap even if you change the bpm

yeah i agree with you 100% on the breaks. if anything, the js was more of placeholder cause i was too lazy to chart lol. For the last chorus section, I wanted to have a section that gradually increased in js density. But I do agree with it not fitting so i will change it in the near future
