#Filetype not allowed despite being correct
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
this is the error for wrong filetype so i dont know what the problem is
works for me as well
Could be some weird shit happening from booting my older hard drive on my new pc, since it did break a few things like chrome, which just doesn't run anymore on the old hard drive
So update, I can still technically upload the other XMLs I have (well I cant because older versions error) but it still lets me. Just not my actual xml
I'll upload my xml here, just give me a moment
clearly that is broken
?
Bruh, so every score I have ever gotten is gone now?
Is there a way to extract my score data from the site itself?
I assume not, but I would be extremely fucking happy and thankful if it was possible
It's literal years of progress just gone
there is not a direct way to have the site do that for you
kangalioo has something that might do it
if you have previously uploaded xml to the site successfully, the download xml button has a copy of that
some of the contents of your xml is still present in this file but it is missing the header section
I hit that and I get emptyness
Like everything set to 0
Like if you started a new profile
I think I made a backup somewhere though
Though it's on the dame hard drive, so like i dunno
I do but it's missing my tamagotchi score
Which really fucking sucks
Oh well, I'll just try to get again some other time, just fucking blows. Why did one of the only few files I absolutely needed get corrupted?
ive recovered the pieces of the file that still function and put an empty header in the file to make it work
I appreciate the help but I think I'll stick with the backup since it has the most info on it
I do know what happened though
Or I theorize
Somehow browser/discord data got merged into the xml somehow, but I don't care too much to speculate further
we have seen it happen with replays in the past but that was a scuffed distribution of windows
theres something very deep that can go wrong and put the wrong data in the buffer i guess
never really know it happens until you restart the game after saving
and if it saved badly, all you had to do is set another score or something and it would rewrite the whole file from scratch
so its all bad timing
