song: G59. Artist: 怒れる金の獅子. Style: Jumpstream, Stream, Tech. Rating: <16-17MSD>

this is my first chart ever by the way after practicing on some 30 sec audios, so be prepared for charting mistakes.

first, the sync is one beat early, you can see that the audio doesnt start immediately at the start, and the measure lines dont line up correctly in the song

#

second, basically all of the usage of 12ths in the chart are incorrect, like the ones where you place hands on the heavy beats

#

if you set up a waveform filter it can be easier to tell the actual rhythm for these sounds, like this

#

(shift+w for waveform settings)

#

you can see that the notes are actually on 3/16th beats

#

there are a couple of other places where incorrect rhythms are used, using the waveform in combination with slowing down the song can be helpful to understand these better

#

like the 32nd bursts you used are actually going to 48ths

i see. so the main issue is mostly incorrect placement of the arrows that dont match up with the rhythm?

its the most glaring issue, but beyond that im not really looking at the actual patterning

#

figuring out good patterning is more just from experimenting, i cant really tell theres a right way to do it other than giving a few tips

#

one tool people use to create patterns is the idea of pitch relevance, where you change the patterning based on pitches in the song. the most basic form of this is having lower pitches on the left and higher on the right, same as a piano

#

a song like this could definitely use that since it has piano and similar instrumentation, but youre heavily limited because only 4 keys

alright, ill see what i can do. thank you so much!
