I'm on ubuntu. When I updated from 0.72.0 to 0.72.1 I just made a backup and pasted the new release into the folder.

It's probably just a result of me lazily updating my game but I thought it wouldn't hurt to report it.

you have a custom theme

#

if you are using the .72.1 _fallback and a custom rebirth you have broken it

#

the problem is in settings.lua

okay i replaced the theme with the not broken one and its working now

btw whats the best way to update on linux

delete all folders except save, songs, assets and then put all the contents of the gz into the directory

#

if you modified something in one of those folders to delete, like noteskins or themes, just make a backup of the theme folders containing the stuff you modified or just the files you modified

#

if you modify something in fallback its probably better to put whatever you changed into a theme folder in the exact same relative location instead
