well u would need to keep learning and probably create 2-3 more higher level projects using Java. Doesnt need to be the next Minecraft but something more complex than Snake lol
depending on ur frontend developer position and the technologies you used, u probably wont neeeed to go too much in depth and be a master of any one language but beijg familiar with common backend concepts… APIs, databases, etc will help you land a more general swe position
how long that takes? up to you
or if ur current company has other tasks/teams that are more backend related, ask to help with those or shadow the engineer(s) that ARE working on those tasks so you can see whats going on and get first hand experience on what to expect.
