i've found myself in kind of an interesting situation: i sorta identify as a full-stack person w/ a decent amount of react/nextjs/tailwind experience, but my "feats" tend to be more impressive from the back, at least to employers.

this isn't too much of a big deal in the short term, but im wondering how it'll affect my career trajectory... i fear a backend focus might cause some atrophy in some areas i care about, namely UX and UI accessibility. i can always practice these in personal projects, but it wouldn't be the same as doing it on the job. any thoughts?

Tell this to your manager and ask for front-end projects. Also tell this to other people, particularly senior ones, so that if they see a good front-end project they may suggest you

This sort of thing is very par for the course for managers to deal with, and part of why they have a job rather than a computer randomly assigning tasks out
